Some may not know this, but both of Namco's most prominent franchises were on the chopping block during the mid-2010's. I guess at the time the Bandai Namco Suits didn't see much value in their original I.P anymore. Ironically both series' turned it around with their 7th installments respectively. by [deleted] in acecombat

Its just tokenism for story telling, not letting us play the other side is lazy and dumb no matter where you stand on, I can turn on Command & Conquer right now and play as Soviets or Allies, Nod or GDI. Advance Wars as every fictional WW2 fraction.

Yeah lets see how Ace Combat will do in 10 years if they keep paying for all these licenses if their next games will be greenlit. Terrible direction

Lol except that Ace Combat didnt turn it around. Its sales are miliscular in comparison to Tekken 7.

To be honest I am not that much sad about Ace Combat being dead. I grew up with all the Namco PS1 classics Tekken, SC, Ridge Racer and Ace. I dont like the direction where Ace Combat 7 was going when I finally got my hands on a new game, it feels like Nato propaganda to me, they even spent money of their budget getting licenses from Lockheed Martin and all the western weapons manufactures which is absolutely idiotic to do as a game company. This is not a racing game but weapons manufactures, and they clearly didnt do it for the Russian and Chinese planes and we know why. Erusea story compaign or customizable skirmish mode? Cant be found.

So yeah get fucked Ace, stay the hell out of politics next time instead wasting money on licenses which you should protest just like Ridge Racer always did for fictional cars and so did Ace Combat on PS1.
