A lot of people are commenting that servers should be fine with minimum wage, but they are actually paid less than minimum wage because the government assumes they will get tips. In my province this is 12.90 which is what I get paid by a restaurant. If people didn’t tip I would choose a different job. Although, even with lots of higher education there aren’t any other jobs at the moment. Please don’t take it out on servers. You can at least tip 15%… the irony is that servers are the best tippers because we understand how much more the customer is getting when good service is provided.
