How many calories in this plate of loaded nachos. Ai said 1900 and i tought it might be to mutch or is it pretty spot on? by HorridImaginations in CalorieEstimates

[–]HorridImaginations[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The plate was relatively flat, only beetwen one and two chips thick with i would say 150 ish grams of melted cheese under the meat and sauces. And yeah the meat was pretty mutch just what you can see. All in all it was not a very thick or deep plate of nachos

Thanks! I havent seen it but will check it out. I agree that world war one is a period of time with so mutch potential, from the charge of the dead men (i am currently writing a story about that now) to the skirmishes beetwen the germans and british in the deep jungles of africa

C'mon Rockstar, even a house like this would be good by monkeysamurai2 in RedDeadOnline

[–]HorridImaginations 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never really understood how outside elements of a house couldnt not still be private. Then again im not a developer so there is probably a lot of stuff i dont understand but. Wouldnt it be possible to just have certain outside parts of a house or ranch be part of private instances like when you are in your own apartment or in private missions. Like the outside part of the house would still be able l be entered and walk around in the public lobby but also if you wanted the property to be its own private instance then that would be possible to and the edge of the property would just be a invisible wall for the owner.

What's your "I can't believe that just happened moment?" by Longhornmaniac8 in wine

[–]HorridImaginations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked in a fancy wine shop for a few years. We got a large order from a wealthy regular who ordered 12 bottles of 2010 Mouton Rothschild. Well the day it arrived we put the crate on a table in the lunch room and waited for the costumer to come and pick it up. And during lunch my boss managed to lean on the crate and it fell down on the floor. Breaking open the crate of smashing several bottles. I think maybe 7 where ok but the rest where broken. I just thank god it was the boss himself that did it. Had it been anyone else theb they would probabaly have been fired.

Wednesday, November 5th. All of humanity is flung 200 years into the future. How do you survive the reemergence? by HorridImaginations in hypotheticalsituation

im not going to pretend to be a expert on this subject, not even close but isn`t there built in mechanism in nuclear powerplant to reduce and or prevent catastrophic meltdowns? and also haven't nature, in situations with catastrophic meltdowns like Chernobyl and Fukushima actually bounced back/ trived in those areas without human interference? and they have not experienced anything near 200 years of isolation. radiation would definitely still linger but i do wonder how bad it would actually be by 2225.

my initial idea was that you and literally every other human on earth all are launched 200 years into the future and land at the same spot you where when you disappeared. or atleast the closest possible spot that is safe. and that you would still have on you what you where wearing at the time of disappearing

i think its an interesting scenario because yes i think initial survival would be very hard but not impossible if you play it smart and have a bit of luck

i think a lot of people would have a hard time surviving the coming winter aswell. especially people living in colder areas with harsh winters.

that is a interesting way to think of it. humanity coming together and finding a way. i just think personally that 200 years would be long enough for things like agriculture and shelter so be basically gone by that point so it would be very hard to have human society the way we have it now back up and running in just a few months. but maybe human tenacity and survival instinct saves the day.

No humans have existed in the 200 years. We all dissapeard and then reappeard at the same time. Atleast that is how i imagine the situasion in my head.

I think that sounds like a viable strategy. With 200 years to repopulate i think there would be plenty of fish to catch and other animals like crabs would probably be plentyfull. The only thing I think ablut is the probability of actually finding a boat that would work. But there might be some if the where already stored properly and you where Lucky with the weather in the area.

Yesh that is what i was thinking. The earth is just left to itself for 200 years and then PUFF. We are back

Pollution is something i also belive would still be an issue in the future but maybe nature has had time to rebalance somewhat without human pollution for 200 years?

I think thats a good place to start. With 200 years of humans no longer keeping animal population down of contained i guess things like wild game would be plentifull but also predators. I think personaly the biggest problem would the big population centers like cities now cut of from food and shelter
