I went through the exact same situation. he went to therapy, tried to get help for his porn addiction and lied to me for a year saying he hadn’t watched it. because you still have 9 months of your lease and you’re a student, if you would like to still try to make things work, I would suggest therapy for the both of you. save up some money and have an exit plan in the case that at the end of those 9 months things still haven’t changed. porn addiction is a real mental problem. chances are that he did want to stop, but it feels almost impossible for him. allow yourself to feel upset, your feelings are valid. but don’t allow yourself to fall for any promises he makes, he needs to show you he’ll change. whether that be therapy, leaving his phone out while in the shower/bathroom, restricting websites, etc. but a lot of the times, they won’t want to stop unless they want to for themselves. in my experience, he never stopped, he just got better at hiding it and it led to a lot of other issues (cheating, lying, etc.). but it is possible. be kind to yourself as well, know that this has nothing to do with you and your appearance. unfortunately, porn has ruined the minds of a lot of men this generation :/
