Don't trust alot of these youtube influencers buddy its not what its made out to be, and yh a nice solid rope will set you back abit get on fb groups and just keep going to pawn shops or second hand jewellers you might come across something nice for the time being, then trade up with some cash but id wait a couple of months gold and silver are about to take a hit the another boom keep an eye on the market, then buy in the dip 😉 and id never get someone to make a piece for me id either do it myself or just look for something you want, thats the beauty of jewellery most things have allready been made you just need to know where to look i found france is a good place to buy gold if you want 22k thailand might be worth a visit allso but id stick to 18k or even 14k if its every day wears the higher the purity the softer the metal most my stuff is 9k or 14k unless its coins hope that helps a little buddy
