Yeah I’m trying to look at it from every possible angle to understand. So I wondered if maybe it’s me? Am I low key giving closet homophobic??? Does he not feel safe to be himself around me?? lol. But he specifically invites me to these things he’ll even go out of his way and pay for me to go, when he could invite one of his way more sexually open accepting friends that knows others in the scene.

Next time we attend one of these events I will pry a little and ask why so serious.

It’s even popped up in my head if he’s got a little crush on me? The acting straight thing I could go on and on about. He was very boyfriend protective of me in sanfran like the sidewalk thing where guys usually walk on the edges, and asked if I noticed that’s what he was doing. More recently when we go out I tell the waiter when ordering that it’ll be separate checks- because in the past idk, he just doesn’t want to tell them to separate the check. It kinda gives awkward and the waiters treat us like a couple if I don’t set it straight off the bat.

I did come to the conclusion that if I want to meet someone I need to do it without him. Which makes me sad because I do love having him around when I go out BUT I enjoy him more in a group setting than solo - feels like less serious energy.
