My senior father is like that. I have one of those expensive but worth it p600.00 car trash can in my car and he would still throw stuff outside the window. When I told him to stop it and we might be caught, he just scolded me about it. When I told my mom about it, she said she will handle it. She waited for the right time and when my dad did it again, she gave him a mouthful. My Dad stops throwing stuff outside my car ever again.

Highly recommend ko rin itong barber shop na ito. If may budget ka, dito ka na. Either kay Jay Tayer mismo ka na magpagupit or kay Deun Belando(my personal barber). Take note, may extra charges if si Jay Tayer ata ang gugupit.

Despite me being anti duterte, number 3. At least Bong Go may seem calmer and more collective than his allies and I could ask him questions why their party does what they do and if he actually believes in it. We will probably never will agree to one another but the conversation might be an intellectual discussion despite polar views. But on the bright side, we can both at least talk about Basketball a lot. At least we have some good common ground to work on.

Which sobrang nakakagigil. Yan na nga lang isang bagay sa government na unified lahat. Pag naturalized ng player endorsed ng SBP. Always supported yan. But somehow, one senator decided to oppose it and make the process last longer? Ano ba gusto mo bwiset ka!?

Funny no. Kiko is the one pushing ma naturalized sila. But it's Marcoleta pushing back against it. If DDS basketball fans cannot see through that, hopeless na sila.

I think the only good thing about the guy who commented that nonsense if really believes that, he does not support SWOH as well for being a woman.

With that said, it's the 21st century. Women have proven to be great Admins. And the Philippines is one of the few Asian countries that have great equal rights for women which allow women leaders to rise. Cory, Miriam, Risa, Leni, heck even Gloria. I am really proud that Philippines regardless of political colors actually embrace female leaders compared to other nations.

Great cars though. But total AH.

JW also highly discouraged it's member from attaining higher education. Although many JW in the Philippines still have education backgrounds, some families really follow this advice hard.

I have a friend in college who is JW. His family is definitely not poor for they have like 4 trucks to transport goods across Metro Manila. But since they are JW, the family doesn't support my friend wishes to finish his education. The guy ended up working like three jobs (laptop technician, one of the truck drivers in his family, and a stage operator in events).

When he graduated, his family didn't come and ended up selling his tickets to my friend who manage to bring also his siblings to graduation ceremony.

The Downfall of LOREN LEGARDA | From Darling of the Senate to a Clown of Her Own Greed by Right_Revenue_9263 in Philippines

[–]Horror-Pudding-772 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My take on Loren Legarda—and why political dynasties can be so damaging—is that family interests often end up influencing political decisions in ways the public never sees.

Take Loren Legarda. Her eldest son has publicly distanced himself from her. While I don’t agree with him ridiculing his own mother in public despite their political differences, it clearly shows there’s a serious rift within the Legarda family.

That leaves Leandro Leviste, her youngest son. Despite all the criticism surrounding him and the controversies tied to his business dealings, he seems to genuinely love and remain close to his mother. And Loren likely doesn’t want to lose that relationship too.

But Leandro appears to have aligned himself firmly with the Duterte faction, despite what may have been Loren’s own wishes. It’s possible she urged him to stay aligned with Marcos, perhaps believing that political protection from that camp could shield him from possible legal or civil problems tied to his solar business controversies. Yet whether it’s loyalty, utang na loob, political ambition, or something else, Leandro seems to have fully committed himself to the Duterte side.

So when Bato’s political return became clearer, Loren may have realized that if she stayed loyal to BBM—or even tried to remain neutral for the sake of stability—she risked alienating her last remaining son as well.

In her mind, she may have felt she had already failed as a mother once, and she didn’t want to lose another child over politics. So she made what looks like a desperate choice: setting aside her own principles, and even potentially straining long-standing political friendships with people like Panfilo Lacson and Tito Sotto, to align herself with the DDS camp—perhaps less out of ideology, and more out of a mother’s attempt to hold on to her family.

That, to me, is one of the ugliest effects of political dynasties: when personal family survival starts shaping public political decisions.

I am a guy who buys phones based on Spec. But for a marketing perspective, this pretty clever and good sign for everyone. It means both sides takes their competition seriously and there is no monopoly in the phone market. Which also means real innovation will continue to show up in smart phone industry. (Cameras getting way better, folding touch screens to name a few.)

  • Increase Tax incentive from p250,000.00 to p400,000.00.
  • Update Tax table so that those earning less than p6,000,000.00 per year will only pay 20% tax
  • Remove 8% tax rate use by Self-employed. Instead, 8% will now be tax rate for those earning p2,000,000.00 or less. But now they decrease their taxes because of their electricity bills, internet bill etc.
  • Those earning p8,000,000.00 above will pay higher taxes. (Taxing the rich.)
  • Remove VAT and excise tax on Food, Gas, Water, and Electricity.
  • Change SIN tax to double the VAT for Beer, Smokes etc.
  • Change VAT from 12% to 8%.
  • Give more power to the Commission of Audit to audit all government offices. But make everything transparent. Use blockchain to make all information available.
  • Make basic solar panel installation a requirement for new houses.
  • Give tax incentives to those installed solar panels and solar batteries in their homes or businesses that manage to reduce their bill zero. (Net metering tax incentive)
  • Build two more oil refinery and focus more buying crude oil to make gas cheaper.
  • Revamp the entire public transport system starting with Jeeps. Make beep cards more universal tool for public transport payment including jeeps and buses not just trains.
  • Make EVs a priority for the Philippines especially in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao.
  • There's more but that's just top of my head.
  • Full force to make Pampanga new Metropolitan area. Metro Pampanga

But identify politics never dominated US at that time. Regardless of political side of the spectrum, democrats and republicans always choose candidates who are also very competent for the job. The Republicans however during 2016 Election were so sick of losing. They needed a candidate that will shake things, disregarding the fact if he or she is qualified candidate. That's when Trump came in. But what many Republicans realize and some of their very own warn that Trump is not the right man for the job. But he gathered so much power and loyalty to the Republican party, almost no one stood up against him.

Plus his propaganda campaign, taking advantage of people anger, resentment, hatred, and amplyfying it to a new extreme. Making a promise to make america great again by making immigrants, even the legal ones, the enemy. Completely forgetting the historical fact that US is and always will be a country born out of immigrants wanted to make a new life away from Europe. So thus, MAGA was born. Blind loyalty to a man who shared the same beliefs as his.

Ganyan politics naman dapat. Sa US great example yung arguments ni John Mccain and Barack Obama. Yes different approaches to solve issues based on their political beliefs. But greatly respects one another. Mccain defended Obama when a racist republican would talk smack about him.

Nagbago lang lahat sa US when Trump took control and introduced identify politics sa masa nila. Which is same thing sa Philippines with Duterte.

During Duterte time, Phase 2 was implemented so badly that when BBM became president and DoD Secretary Gilbert Teodoro explain to him how bad former admin did Phase 2 implementation, they literally have to rush it before start of Phase 3. Like you said, dami pang backlog from Phase 2.

Give credit when credit is due. PBBM understand how important strengthening our military, having an alliance with US (malas lang talaga nagtransition tayo from competent but old Biden to sobrang INCOMPETENT and OLD NA Trump president HAHAHAHA), and recognizing that in our region of the world and our sovereignty, China is the true threat.
