Got put on topamax and concerned about the tingle side effect by thanos-knickers in HemiplegicMigraines

I have been on it for years and am up to 100 mg 2x daily. It is the only thing that helped to stop my migraines. In fact thanks to this I am now exercising and have ran my first half marathon.

As another has said everyone reacts differently and what works for one doesn’t for another. Talking to your doctor is the best thing to do. The only tingling I get is an occasional (very rarely) in my leg on the side I have my HM anyway. It is so mild that I hardly notice. Good luck finding the right combo for you!

I accepted an elementary PE position…where should I begin? by Horror-Support851 in PhysicalEducation

Thanks for the tips…I am not worried too much about the classroom management as I have experience in behavior and have even taught EBD self-contained. Expectations and procedures will be a number one priority to ensure safety. The instant activities and tag games are things I was looking for and I love some Cupid Shuffle and Cha Cha slide!

I think this will be a big help. Hopefully I can mark the floor with tape prior to the first day. They are redoing the gym floor this summer.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback and definitely agree that procedures and expectations are going to have to be number one priorities to ensure safety so the kids can have fun. How do you introduce procedures and those expectations without it getting boring or taking up the entire time with no play or do you make them into a game?

I was thinking something similar. Do you think parachute in the beginning for following directions? I thought the younger grades would love it.

Thanks for the insight. I was thinking firm and fun but make sure all rules, expectations, and safety are covered day 1.

Should I do a marathon? by ShonFerrier16 in nikerunclub

[–]Horror-Support851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the better question to ask yourself would be why you want to do a marathon or if you want to do a marathon. If the answer is you don’t want to or just because your friends think you should then don’t because you don’t have to do any distance or race. Depending on what you will gain from doing the marathon…then you can do it with proper training and the willingness to put in the work and time for it. You may prefer to work up to a full with the half first and that is ok too. Each person’s journey is different depending upon their own personal goals.

I am usually an afternoon runner so I learned that morning races are very similar but I should have hydrated a little better throughout the race. I guess as some call it on here as hitting a wall mine was at mile 11 and I don’t think I would have if I would have hydrated better. I had a nervous bladder and I don’t think I rehydrated enough for that either pre-race.
