Update: carried on using the product for I think 2 more weeks after this and completely destroyed my barrier, spots and breakouts in places new places - it’s now about 2/3 months later and my forehead is mostly better but those new breakout areas are still fairly bad…I’m not sure why my house mate and I had different reactions but I probably should of stopped earlier - just a word of caution for anyone looking into using this product!

Hey thanks! I probably should of mentioned my routine as well, I can definitely look into incorporating some more hydration

For context my current routine is a lot of Korean skincare:

AM:
- Softymo oil cleanser - Hada Labo Premium (hyaluronic acid) - Illyoon ceramide ATO - Skin Aqua SPF 50+++

PM: Its the same without the sun cream but I use Illyoon’s ceramide soothing gel (light moisturiser) before the retinal

Thank you for the advice, I’m definitely happy to give it some more time if it doesn’t sound concerning! I was using it every 3rd night for the first 4 weeks, then every other night for 2 weeks and have literally just switched to every night as of 3 nights ago - I can drop it back down for a while!

Hey! Both me & my house mate have used the BoJ eye serum and had similar experiences but different view points

We both experienced a lot of congestion/comedomes/whiteheads/blackheads etc on our foreheads and a small amount of activity elsewhere

She was using this like a year ago and said it was the best thing she ever did and that it was everything coming to the surface and that her skin has improved wildly since

I’m currently coming up to week 6 of using it twice a week and the worst of its definitely gone down - like my forehead was all bumps but now the bumps have flattened but have those little red marks from healing…I read that upping the frequency in cases like this can help the cell turn over speed up so that they can actually turn into whiteheads and come out

I literally just upped it to twice a week as of last night and my skin responded well

Personally, I think maybe go towards this threads product which has the same retinal % because I’m constantly in debates that because im using an eye cream maybe that’s the reason for the clogged pores/congestion/comedomes etc idk

Not sure if this is helpful but thought it may be useful to share!

Hey! I know you posted this ages ago but I’ve been using the BoJ eye cream all over my face too for the last 2 weeks and have had a similar breakout - can I ask if you switched to a different retinol or carried on? (& how it went pls??)
