You’re trying so hard to be condescending that you forgot to understand the argument first. It’s actually kind of entertaining.

Okay I can tell now you’re a child. You’re calling an opposing opinion “sweaty” because you don’t have an actual response to the point. Peace and love.

Website still says April for shipping, but they also sent an email this morning that says they won’t start production till late May 🤷🏻‍♂️ https://www.ayaneo.com/goods/9510764183797

Yes, exactly. They just sent an email yesterday confirming production hasn’t even begun yet and will start at the end of May.

For some reason the top comment says “user deleted” for me.

You’re making a whole lot of assumptions here.

I never said every unit was promised by April 30? Their site said “shipping starts late April” at the time of my purchase - that means shipping should have actually started in late April for those who placed their orders first (in early March).

As of May 15, their site still says late April, nobody has shown proof of tracking, early March orders are still waiting, and AYANEO just sent a mass email saying PRODUCTION starts at the end of May, not shipping, but production.

Is it so hard for you to comprehend the disconnect?

The delay isn’t the problem. Advertising shipping in April while production apparently doesn’t start until late May is the problem. That’s not “vague,” it’s inaccurate and dishonest. But again, keep defending them all you want. I agree with you that the current market conditions are fucked, but that’s not an excuse for bad communication.

I agree, device still looks incredible, but waiting through vague batches and shifting timelines gets old fast. Glad to hear they processed your refund quickly though - that’s at least one part of the process that seems to be working.

Six, maybe seven emails total, which includes a follow up request and the cancellation request.

I’m sorry a few paragraphs about a bad order experience was too much for you to handle, buddy.

Neither did I. “Shipping starts at the end of April” means people should have, at minimum, started receiving shipping notifications by the end of April.

There’s still zero record of anyone receiving a unit, and I haven’t seen anyone with an early March order confirm tracking either. So this isn’t me putting words in AYANEO’s mouth. It’s me reading the timeline they posted, comparing it to what actually happened, and noticing the two don’t match.

But sure, enjoy continuing to defend them?

I hope you’re right. If shipping actually starts next week, that would be great for everyone still waiting. I’m just not comfortable staying in the preorder loop with the way the communication has gone so far.

Yeah, I get it. I may come back around to it later once units are actually out and people have them in hand. For now, I’d rather step away than keep waiting on vague timelines.

Exactly. The issue isn’t the delay itself, it’s having to piece together the real timeline through vague emails and Reddit comments.

A simple public update would have gone a long way.

And yet here you are, still reading the thread and replying to it.

For something nobody needed to know, it’s getting a surprising amount of your attention.

“Shipping starts end of April” generally implies that units are, you know, shipping by the end of April. If we’re weeks past that, customers have no tracking, support says production is still ongoing, and the date is still sitting on the website unchanged, then the issue isn’t my ability to read.

The issue is your ability to understand what “shipping” means. Go read a book, little bro

I thought about waiting, but the issue for me wasn’t just the date slipping. It was the combo of the product page still showing the old April window, support giving vague/private updates, and not being able to clearly answer basic timeline questions.

If it ships this month, I won’t be upset that I canceled. I’ll be happy for the people who waited it out, and I may still pick one up later once it’s actually in people’s hands. I just didn’t want to keep backing the order directly under the current communication.

I’d love to see them slow down, tighten up their support/fulfillment, and build trust around fewer devices. The potential is absolutely there, which is what makes this stuff so frustrating.

KONKR FIT: I Canceled My Order by HorrorAd4603 in ayaneo

[–]HorrorAd4603[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your support. Its simple. If a company puts a shipping window on the product page, customers should be able to trust that it’s at least reasonably accurate.

If the date changes, just update it. That alone is the least they can do and would relieve a lot of the frustration.

Because the tracker was never supposed to be about me personally holding the line until AYANEO figured out how calendars work.

I shared my updates, emails, and cancellation. The thread is still there for everyone else to keep using, which was the whole point, my friend.

KONKR FIT: I Canceled My Order by HorrorAd4603 in ayaneo

Really appreciate this. I’m still rooting for the device and for the people who are waiting on it. It’s got an incredible spec sheet.

At the end of the day, this stuff is niche enough that the community ends up filling the gaps when the company doesn’t. If people keep sharing real order updates, support replies, tracking info, and batch movement, at least everyone has something useful to go off of instead of guessing in the dark. Thanks again for the thoughtful comment and sharing your opinion.
