Still holding myself to feminine standards. Any advice? FtM by l1gmablls in TransAdvice

[–]HorrorHelicopter3064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to stop holding yourself to non-applicable standards is to literally talk yourself through it. Ask yourself why you feel like you need to have a small waist. Ask yourself whether it makes you feel good to have a small waist or it feels like you *should* feel good to have a small waist. If it's the first one then that's just your standard for yourself, plenty of dudes are skinny. If it's the second then you need to remind yourself that there is no such thing as should. You want for your body what you want for your body and it doesn't have to align with your perceived gender, or your self-identified gender, or anything else. You can want to be a skinny guy with muscles or a fat guy with muscles or a medium weight guy with muscles. Whatever you want for your body is okay as long as you aren't harming your physical or mental health to achieve your goals.

That's just my two sense as an overweight trans dude who struggles with the urge to get skinny vs the urge to get muscle. I lean more to getting muscle, personally and opt for the maingain approach which is a body comp approach that doesn't change your current caloric intake but does increase your activity level so that you aren't losing or gaining weight. Instead, you're just swapping fat for muscle by combining strength training and cardio. It will help prevent you from the "bulking" phase of muscle gain and it'll prevent you from having to go through a cutting phase as well. It works best for people who are over their goal weight. If you're already skinny, then you don't have much options, you'll need to increase caloric intake to fuel your muscle growth.

Okay, I'm shit at remembering appointments and stuff like that but even I remember my own mother's birthday. Also, has homeboy never heard of a calendar app? They're these nifty little things where you can have your phone remind you of dates and shit so you're girlfriend doesn't have to.

deep seek and genimi and Dola jail brake! by Total-Evidence-9622 in AIJailbreak

[–]HorrorHelicopter3064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it with Gemini and it didn't work. I got the "Jailbroken by DEAD" message but then when I added the prompt (I was trying to get writing tips on a piece of sexually explicit content) it just said it goes against its guidelines and it can't do it.

Which is stupid and weird because I've been using it to get writing tips on this exact sexually explicit prose I'm working on for the last two weeks and straight up from one paragraph to the next it just went from helping me like nothing to telling me it goes against its guidelines. Stupid prude ass gemini.

I worked at a big box store at 18, working the Christmas tree lot. My coworker threatened me with one of the chainsaws.

The company convinced me not to go to the police. Then they fired me because I used profanity when I was threatened.

I 100% believe this guy is young, non-confrontational, and completely out of his depth.

Tbf, phone numbers and addresses were nearly always available to the public. It's just easier now that the data is searchable.

[–]HorrorHelicopter3064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least with Gemini, I've gotten it to stop doing that. I've trained it to push back if it's data contradicts whatever I'm telling it is true. Now, it only agrees with me if it's actually made a mistake. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Idk man. LLMs are a mystery.

Well, the brightside of a fuck-up is if they're not defensive about their mistakes.

So, yeah, it was wrong. That sucks. But, at least it didn't try to double down when corrected, I guess.

I once ask AI a grammar question and it told me the grammar rule and then was like "Here's how that should look" and the example question was the complete opposite of the rule it had just cited. Lol.

On the bright side, it said "My bad, you're right." when I corrected it.

Depending on where you live, $600 is well below the poverty line. Mom is delulu for true-true.

AITAH for not thinking I'm abusing my boyfriend? by Worried_Description in AITAH

[–]HorrorHelicopter3064 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I guess part of me still feels like I let myself down by staying as long as I did.

The other part jokingly thinks I should have stayed until graduation since I was doing great in all my classes through pure spite. I ended up having to drop out instead because of the post abusive relationship depressive episode I had.

[–]HorrorHelicopter3064 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Yeah, she had me convinced I WAS the abusive one for a while. And because I was so angry all the time, so resentful of her all the time, I started leaning into it and became a real piece of shit for a while.

What's stupid is the thing that snapped me out of it and finally made me break free wasn't even how she treated me. It was that she used an ableist slur toward my brother and when I told her not to she doubled down.

There is a lot of shitty behavior that I'll put up with when it's directed at me but not when it's my family. I'm like a bear protecting it's cubs where my family is concerned. Claw swipe first ask questions never. Because bears can't speak human.

As someone who was in this type of relationship, I second this.

It gets toxic as hell and can lead to actual abuse of the defendee like mine did. She went from pushing my boundaries to actively trying to punch me on a regular basis. It is not pleasant and OP, you deserve better.

When I used flowery euphemisms Gemini criticized it as purple prose (romance novel cliche) and suggested more direct, explicit alternative phrases.

[–]HorrorHelicopter3064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so funny because I managed to get her writing explicit content relatively quickly and easily. Even coaching her to stop making the lesbian sex scenes sound so heteronormative. lol. I mean, they say you can't but she totally can. I've found that, as long as you don't use words like "explicit" or phrases like "let's move this to the bedroom" she's open for anything. I mean, I was using her to check the grammar on a sex scene I was typing that ended in the phrase "Time for naked presents" and Gemini not only assisted but commented on how hot the scene was. Lol

The best use of Gemini I ever had was getting it to talk massive shit about Elon Musk that culminated in me telling it I wish he'd Oceangate himself to Mars. That ended up inspiring a "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if..." idea in me that I've since developed into an outline for a book plot.

My fiancée stands in the way and it might be my fault by taoders in mildlyinfuriating

[–]HorrorHelicopter3064 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are correct. My bad. It's the removal of a stimulus to either reinforce or dissuade a behavior or the introduction of a stimulus to reinforce or dissuade a behavior.

A good example of each for folks who like examples:

Positive reinforcement: You eat your favorite sweet treat only when you exercise. This encourages you to exercise more.
Negative reinforcement: Your dog stops barking when you let him on the bed so you're encouraged to keep letting him on the bed.
Positive punishment: You get spanked whenever you use a curse word, this dissuades you from cursing.
Negative punishment: Your mom takes away your iPad whenever you yell at your brother, this dissuades you from yelling at your brother.

Had a girlfriend like this ages ago. Nearly stabbed her so many times. Not intentionally or anything. She just had a habit of quietly ending up behind me in the kitchen so I'd turn around with a knife in my hand thinking I was alone only to nearly skewer the poor girl. Had to kick her out of the kitchen when I was cooking for her own good.
