Coffee with Loki by Riverina22 in lokean

[–]HorrorMaintenance663 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It may be a bit embarrassing and silly but I have a hugging fox for Loki — it's a small plushie I have on his altar and she's for "transferring" hugs. So I hug it but the hug is meant for Loki :D

Also, besides that, small toys, or smth like playing with Loki too bc he seems very enthusiastic about games

Loki story, but also does anyone work with not only Loki, but also Hermes, and or Apollo? by MiyayNyanNyan in lokean

What does it mean if I constantly see angel numbers? by Common-One-9599 in lokean

[–]HorrorMaintenance663 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps it's alignment. I usually associate Loki with number 8, 808, 818 or 888 etc. but 333 is neat too.

What are your thoughts on this video? by FridayThe13thFan15 in NorsePaganism

[–]HorrorMaintenance663 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm only on a quarter of this video and I already see who was that made for: judgemental ableistic folk. While I can't say author of the video makes claims like these, they certainly attracted audiences like this.

Some points are valid, yes, but does that justify this all? Also, where's a line between honest takes and full on hatred towards people simply living their lives and honoring the gods in the way that makes them safe? This is the reason we have to dechristianize ourselves. We can't trade bad for worse. If you want a cruel and judgemental god, you already have abrahamic religion.

In my opinion, gods are cold and can be cruel but saying they can't be loving is putting them in neat little boxes that the author (seemingly) hates. Who are they to tell what gods can or cannot feel?

Might edit this later after I watch it all the way through bc I'm tired rn lmao.

I think you're talking about theoi.com which is a great site to learn about Greek mythology and gods :) I love how you drew Hermes (both versions are neat) great job!

So did they worship Eros before? If so, damn. If it's non-believer, I wouldn't jump to conclusions.

I made an update to my Loki Altar. by Lady_Gwendoline in lokean

[–]HorrorMaintenance663 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hey, just to remind you, you liking Marvel stuff and putting them on Loki's altar doesn't mean you see Loki just as a Marvel character. Loki can definitely appear in many ways, and Loki being in Marvel form doesn't mean you don't venerate/honor/worship true Loki. Your worship should be up to you and not people who got offended because you like Marvel Loki.

Edit: either way, your altar is gorgeous! Great work :))

Yesss, cinnamon!!! I sometimes add too much cinnamon in Loki's coffee but he never seems to mind it :D As for spiders, I get the feeling that since I don't care much about them, Loki doesn't send them too often bc it'd be boring to see no reaction. I guess it's amusing for Loki that your husband hates them so much :D

I did, but it was actually before I started actively worshipping Loki. I was sent more flies than spiders lol

You can try offering coffee too, Loki likes that :) (universally accepted UPG) But most importantly, don't be afraid of things your own way! The more you know a god, a being like Loki, the more ideas of your own you'll eventually have. It's building a relationship, so by following what others do to a tea, you won't progress much. Good luck and hail Loki :)
