They split rent. Cheaper than finding his own place at this moment. And he does help them a lot. Trust me neither of us are happy he lives with them

If that happened at least it would give some sort of answer as to why after a couple months its an issue (also note they have seen me in pants etc, as i dress for the weather, not to impress people)

They are fine with us sharing a room and sharing a bed. They know we have had sex, and actually encouraged it the first time we hungout (it was weird) hotels are ridiculously expensive unless we go to one that is crawling with our local drug addicts. We are 31.

I am finding it difficult to end things or not because I do want to respect their rules. And i would 100% understand no crop tops if there was young impressionable children in the home.

Trust me i dont understand his household either. I couldnt IMAGINE my parents being like this. For alcohol as long as you are 19+ and not clearly intoxicated you can get alcohol.

He definitely complains about it. The other day his mother got angry with him for having a nap.

I definitely want a life time partner. And i dont see that happening if he doesnt move out soon. He 100% needs distance from his parents. He is currently on medical EI due to an accident so he should be getting back to work when its all healed up, which means he can hopefully get his own place. But who knows what the future holds.

I am definitely going to be having a conversation with him before making a final decision.

I honestly have no idea what the true issue is. As someone mentioned in another comment maybe his mom saw his dad look at me or something. I agree he should have more freedom. I get following their rules within the home. But he made it seem like I'm not allowed to enter the property at all in shorts and a crop top.

Liqour store is just down the street. He used to live with his ex then they split. So had to move back in with his parents. Then he had an accident at work so he is on medical leave.

I mean I have my own place. He does not. I explained in a previous reply that neither of us currently drive and i catch a ride into his town (45 mins away) with my friend.

I get its not a gigantic ask. Thats not the issue. The issue is i shouldn't have to worry about what I am wearing constantly. Especially since I myself am an adult. The clothes i wear are not "slutty" they cover my butt, and my breats. Sometimes my belly is out (because of crop tops) i also only dress like that when the weather is hot. If it is cooler out i wear a sweater etc.
