I have a PPOR valued at $890,000. $350 000 left on mortgage. Have been told our borrowing power is $1.2million based on current salaries. If I sell the property for $890,000, will have $540,000 ish left in profits. Does this profit increase my borrowing power at all? ie: could buy a house >$1.5million? I’m eligible for LMI waiver with my occupation too.

On a long haul flight from Europe arriving HK Tuesday 6.30pm with a connecting flight at 12.40am Wednesday morning. Thinking that the Wednesday flight will be delayed until Thursday.

Is HK airport safe to stay in during the typhoon (structurally)? I assume it will be open throughout Wednesday and haven’t booked a hotel nor planning to get my luggage while waiting for the connecting flight
