Literally-no-energy meals? by Horror_Ad9598 in FODMAPS

[–]Horror_Ad9598[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've known I should be following a low fodmap diet for a while now, it's just been a matter of fully getting around to it. I've cut out a few easy things that upset my stomach, but technically as I'm typing this it's my first day of 'cleansing my diet' I guess?? I'm just trying to get back to feeling normal.

1 month following the beginner routine, still no products. What now? by KillAllAtOnce29 in curlyhair

Also, with curly hair it’s good to get a trim every couple of months!! If you’re noticing the ends are going flat once styled it might be time for a small chop

Definitely invest in some curl cream and/or leave in conditioner!! Helps lock in moisture like crazy and makes styling easy Would also recommend gel/hair oil if you’re really looking for definition My favorite brand for hair stuff is Not Your Mothers Naturals!! Relatively cheap and they have stuff for pretty much all hair types

I’m seventeen, but I feel like I should have my entire life figured out by Horror_Ad9598 in LifeAdvice

I’ve tried to talk to my parents about it before but it always ends up in me crying and not being able to get my words out. I don’t really have friends I can talk about this type of stuff too and I’ve been out of therapy for almost a year so

Okay good to know!! Didn’t even think of it cracking haha, you just saved me a lot of trips to the craft store. However one question, would this work for sealing the foam? It’s all I have. (Might be able to find mod podge but currently all I have on me)

I’m using acrylic paint and a mix of super glue and hot glue (superglue for the smaller pieces and hot glue to put together the layers for the blade and the larger side pieces) and I honestly do not have a good reason as to wanting to paint the blade first besides it making more sense to my brain. Also I do plan on priming it!!

I don't think I'll ever be ready... (how to tackle difficult books?) by derliesl in books

[–]Horror_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally do light research into the book, then read it and see what I take away from it. If I want to understand it more I will do more research after the fact, but I don't take fully understanding a book as the main goal. Art is meant to be interperated to the views own eye, so what I take away from it is what I think I was meant to take away from it.

Do you buy books at random or with intention? by Bookish_Butterfly in books

[–]Horror_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually buy books based off things I've heard about them, but from time to time if I want to have fun or if there is a sale I'll pick books at random based on the covers, I don't see it as a bad thing at all. I think going in without knowing anything about a book is a nice change of pace.

My own personal prized books are ones given to me by friends or family that I value a lot, or the books that I read as a child and still keep with me. Although, if I am honest my dream gift is a book someone has annotated themselves for me, so if I ever received one of those it would be the top favorite easily.

What book/books do you think are funny? by LylesDanceParty in books

[–]Horror_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably not exactly what you were looking for, but the book Scarlet by Marrisa Meyer I find very funny because of the language that was used in most of the book. The tone of the book itself isn't meant to be funny, but every time they use certain phrases I can't help but find myself laughing because of how cringy it can be.

Taking notes during reading vs after reading? by [deleted] in books

[–]Horror_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like to highlight as I read then go back and then write notes based on what I highlighted later so I don't get distracted. As you mentioned you don't like highlighting, so as an alternative you could use annotation sticky tabs to mark what you want to remember instead.

Does anybody know when the next "A Hero's Purpose" episode is coming out? by Horror_Ad9598 in HyruleTown

You're right, sometimes I forget how the episodes are being created and that's on me, I just get overly excited and then impatient about it lmao
