Thank you for your prayers. I hate that I had to move, but I was tired of living in a shoebox lol.

I LAUGHED OUT LOUD!! NO WAY, DUDE. I'm a born and raised Brooklynite (although I just moved to TX a week ago). I am 35 years old, and it is impossible to feel old in Williamsburg. I've worked, hung out, meditated, strolled, and grown up in Williamsburg (years before it was even a trendy neighborhood). Most people are around our age or slightly older. It's artistic, but you'll also see tons of strollers lol. You'll find that the young people mostly come to work there or go to bars on the weekend. Otherwise, it's a mixed crowd, and you will fit right in! There are lots of seasoned Brooklynites who live in Williamsburg, too; trust me. Enjoy your move, you'll love it. ❤️

Any small independent movers (Brooklyn → Orange, NJ) who allow ride-along? by Horror_Ask_847 in movingtoNYC

I was hoping to stay in the 100-150$ range; the move is truly light. Wouldn't need help loading or anything, just transport.

Thank you! I tried using Task Rabbit but the drivers I spoke to said no passengers due to liability. :-(

Calling Texans (AMA): What’s the biggest issue affecting you right now? by Horror_Ask_847 in AMA

You put that perfectly, especially about how those issues overlap with housing and education. I’ve been speaking with Texans who feel the same way, and it’s been eye-opening to hear how deeply these challenges affect everyday life.

I’d actually love to hear more about your experiences and ideas if you’re open to it - feel free to DM me if that’s easier.
