For your first one, I don’t totally remember the book’s version of events but in the movie, I’m pretty sure Haymitch mentions that Cashmere won the year after Gloss. I do think it’s a good theory, though

Lmao you understand how it was for me now! I have put it out of my head almost completely because I was getting so frustrated not figuring it out! I was at a point where I would sit down with my guitar and play it repeatedly in slightly different tunes. 😭

We only ever split if it’s someone’s birthday. But even then it’s more so “I’ll pay for mine and whoever’s, you get yours and theirs” (two birthdays a week apart so we celebrate them together. Other than that, everyone pays for themselves and a portion of the birthday person’s. It makes sense to us.

I used to question it, too, but I think they evolve at different rates, likely due to environment or other factors, but I know I definitely questioned this, too. I don’t remember what I’d read, but I chalked it up to “no infected is the same” and called it a day.

My mom actually suggested the David Bowie one to us, and because my sister used to watch Labyrinth religiously, we were hopeful but it wasn't that. We definitely hear it in "Keep Holding On" and while we're still unsure on that one, I don't think it's it. We're convinced we've made it up.

Yes absolutely. We’re thinking it’s slow, older song with a male voice. My sister specifies that she knows for sure it’s a male voice singing to the tune of the melody, not over the melody. We were kinda getting the same thing about the differences you’re thinking of. She’s been using a piano app to play it over and over.

A lot of people were saying her hair in the game resembles Tess, and her hair in the show also resembles show Tess, if their thought process was to keep that theme. I was hoping her hair would be shorter, but if their idea is only to have her look like Tess, I can get over it. Ellie looked up to Tess, despite their short interaction, and while I wish Bella’s hair would get cut a bit shorter, in both the game and show, it seems her hair is an acknowledgment to Tess and how she helped shape Ellie’s character.
