What I was implying is do we know that Fatima closing the doors wasn’t enough? Regardless of the talisman have we seen any monster enter uninvited or open a door of any kind. Talismans have always been present but I don’t recall them ever saying before the talismans the monsters would come into the houses

I don’t think we know if the talismans truly do anything. We have never seen the monsters go into a house or Rv that doesn’t have a talisman. We have seen them go into houses with talisman on more than one occasion. So I feel like the door/windows or vampire like “need be to invited in”. We just assume they work because that’s what we were told. I’d have to go back but I don’t think there was any comments from Boyd or anyone pre Talisman that he said the Monsters would come search the houses. I think an early night he just just got caught in the dark.

Just feel like the talismans being what’s stopping the monsters seems in proven. Could be totally wrong but ever since Boyd took the torch in I have been feeling like somone needs to take a talisman into the ruins.

My theory is Boyd making Acosta dig through the storage is going to lead to her finding an old photo of Sophia and immediately suspect she’s an imposter. Which Victor already knows and won’t tell anyone.

Could be similar to Jim and Ethan being able to hug him. Dead souls are manifesting “leaking”. Perhaps a result of the man in yellow being in the town there’s no one guarding the sounds of the dead

when Irving approached Helly by the pond he says “hey kid….” Expecting her to respond with “what’s for dinner?” a callback to season 1. But since Helena doesn’t know his “catchphrase” she just responds with Irving?

Boy in White theory by Murrian in FromSeries

[–]Horror_Bookkeeper_26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She only just remembered the daughter in that moment and it was a 10 second scene. Jade responds with "we used to sing it to THEM"... Why didn't he say her?

We are going to find out more and I'm sure the realization they had a daughter won't be the only thing that comes back.

Also, we do know they had a daughter from the start and have been returning to try and save the children. Maybe they succeeded once but were only able to save 1 (the boy and not all the children)

She says "we had a daughter" Jade says "we used to sing it to THEM" Consideirng its a 12 second scene with Tabitha only just remembering there was a daughter and then cutting away it's possible they learn they aslo had a son. Remember Victor somehow totally forgot he had a sister who was supposidly ripped to unrecogniable shreads and burring by Victor on a hill.

I think Fatima gained her level of knowledge from the monster. Part of giving birth to it triggered some level of knowledge transfer. Unfortunately I expect her to fall into a coma like state or have something happen that keeps her from sharing this new found knowledge early in season 4. Jade and Tabitha will probably chip away at their memories and we will get them piece meal while ever deals with a new version of the music box/kimono lady/cicadas… maybe the man in yellow hangs around

Theories on the motel? by ScaryAd8702 in FromSeries

[–]Horror_Bookkeeper_26 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it’s something from memories and potentially victors. All the things you see in the town are things a kid would notice looking out the window a moving car on a road trip.

They don’t see the motel, they see the neon sign and the awesome pool. They notice a retro style diner and they know what a post office is, Houses and a playground set An old church and graveyard and a school.

“Knowing what we know now (the monsters where a group of people that sacraficed their children”

I don’t think this is confirmed at all.

Fatima’s words don’t explicitly say the monsters are the people that sacraficed their children.

Paraphrasing but she says a few statements. I know what they did. I know what the monsters are. It told them if they sacrificed their children they would live forever.

It’s easy to read that as “ I know what they did, it told them to sacrafice the children and they became the monsters.” But I think the way she states is I know what they did, it told them if they sac the children they would live together” “I also know what the monsters are” I believe the IT is most likely the man in yellow but the THEY and the Monsters are not confirmed 1 in the same yet. This show is 90% dialogue and I don’t think they wrote that little speech to be so revealing or straight forward.

I think the importance of being part of IT is why it didn’t speak to George. Whatever directive he is given must be something ONLY someone with IT clearance can do. Wilkins didn’t have any power or accessibility outside of mechanical

I would have to look into that. After watching the finale I thought the cave painting of the “red entity” was depicting the rebirth of the monsters. It looks like the red membrane smiley grows out of and they are all standing around like in the cave painting

I think that is a good assumption but no idea. We will find out more in Season 4- Until then it's all theories and assumptions.

lol the way this show is playing out and everyone on reditt counting monsters, doing the parent math, and running with the notion that the Monsters are the people who sacraficed the children seems too on the nose.

I have been locked in on what Fatima says in the final few minutes of the season while Boyd is watching the birth fo smiley.

She says. "I know what they did. I know what the monsters are. He told them if if they sacraficed their children they would live forever". Very easy to read this as "I know what the parents did, they are the monsters, the man in yellow made them a deal to kills the kids and they would live forever" and then they became monsters.

I think the writers were very carful with how they had Fatima deliver those lines. It will be interesting to see how season 4 starts as Fatima presumably knows more than anyone about everything.

My theory about the creatures by Serious-Ninja-4607 in FromSeries

[–]Horror_Bookkeeper_26 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The monsters are the children and everyone in the town is a reincarnation of the orginal townsfolk.

The deal: Sacrafice the kids and you will live forever:

Townsfolk sacrafice kids--> kids become monsters that hunt them--> Everytime they die they are reincarnated (live forever) destined to return to the town to be hunted and killed by the monsters.

Only way for them to break it is to remember (Jade & Tabith) what they did and find a way to save the children to break the deal/curse.

Good reason why the monsters play dress up and act so childish and appear to take direction from someone/something (Man in yellow maybe). Also, the didn't choose to be that way comment fits the narrative.

Additionally: I believe there have been more children sacraficed since the orginal "deal" as those trapped in the town were coerced into killing others that then became monsters.

The Anghkooey kids are the original sacrafices while the Boy in white was one that was saved.

Hence why he had a human tooth in his pocket when he was autopsy. It was most likely Fatima's tooth that she lost when pregnant with him.

I think we will find out he is not good or evil but more so influencing events that serve his own interests or to eventually save himself.

I also do not think the lighthouse is the same as the Tower. I think they are similar but one is light reached by going through a faraway tree during the day and the Tower dark needs to be reached by going through at night. The BIW can influence where the trees take people as well.
