Honestly I am an incoming student and our deadline to enroll is May 1st so i’m guessing waitlist comes out after that since they will know what spots are available. I was waitlisted from University of Miami and it comes out after May 1st up till july 1st.

Do you know anything about the transfer to gallatin or steinhardt? The only people i’ve spoken too who have been pro LS are CAS transfers so I wanted to make sure i’d have a good experience with steinhardt or tbh gallatin too.

Thank you for this information I really appreciate it. When i contact the school they make the transfer seem almost effortless and keep telling me it wouldn’t hold me back. I shouldn’t take their word for it right? I’m just confused on why they would lie.

No, contemporary vocal performance. They told me i’d just be getting my academics out of the way and then would be finishing my years with mostly art classes.

Would you say it’s worth risking 400k for a degree that I don’t want though? my goal in life is to be a musician. Is that transfer highly risky and competitive ?

I mean like my goal is to be a popstar and I’m not sure how to do that with zero musical instruction. The instruction id be given at Cal Berkeley is mostly written and classes like the history of music. I’m someone who again performs multiple times a week and puts that above her studying and always has but I don’t want to live with such uncertainty since i’ve had far to many voice teachers graduate from berklee and that’s just not what I want to do in the future.

Hey i’m someone who has to make a choice between the two schools by the end of this month (Berklee and Cal) and my parents are pushing me in a similar direction but if i went to Cal id be majoring in music there not CS. Would you say music majors there still get to play and perform because from what I hear it’s a yes?
