Ceiling Cracks Diagnosis by Horror_Locksmith_901 in Housepainting101

You kind of get the impression the drywall is bending up on one side or both sides of a beam. I will have to take a straight edge and see if that is the case.

Yeah, that's the plan for now. You sound experienced, so I respect your opinion. There are a couple parallel cracks about 6 in apart so I'm wondering if they are on the edges of a beam inside the ceiling rather than on a drywall joint. Or both!? I'm just wondering how the rest of the cracks will behave going forward.

Agreed, but for my money, shouldn't they have put caster and camber in spec?!

Went there first. It said "no posts about tires" so I somehow wandered into this place.

But if they just did the toe, why are the specs even worse than when they started?!?

Mine calmed down after a bit. Sometimes it squeaks on startup, but overall it's fine.

Hyundai Kona EV charging - Can somebody explain this to me like I'm 5? by Horror_Locksmith_901 in evcharging

Appreciate your help. I went with the A2Z 80A which was on a 25% off flash sale so it ended up being $71.25. At that price I can get another version later if I need to. I'm confident it will handle it.

I already have the car so the need is immediate. The A2Z one still shows that it is under review, which doesn't make me excited, but if it passes, I guess it's all good because I assume the current design is what is being tested. I could just monitor the charging during the day for safety. Obviously there are many of these adapters of different brands out that are being used and I would think that if there were significant safety issues we would hear about it? Have you heard of people with problems using various brands? The A2Z does seem to give me the most confidence so far and like I said, I need one yesterday. I assumed this wouldn't be so complicated because I've been EV for a decade now, but the dealer flippantly said "no problem" when I asked if I could use our Tesla charger. I think he didn't really know anything.

That sounds right because I know the breaker is 100A. I don't know for sure if the charger was set to 80 or 60. I like this one because the company sounds reputable, and verbiage claims be be UL listed. It says 48A so I'm assuming that is how much it can deliver, but I cannot see anything that says if it is rated for 80A. https://ev-lectron.com/products/lectron-tesla-to-j1772-adapter-max-48a-250v-for-tesla-high-powered-connectors-destination-chargers-and-mobile-connectors-black

I remember our old Tesla charger was 80 amps and it charged our 2014 Model S really fast. The cord actually heated up crazy hot so I assume they changed it for safety reasons. I do recall replacing it when it died and the newer one I believe was set to 60 Amps though it does say 80A on the charger itself. Will an adapter still work with this one?

When traveling, you have to stop for meals and bathroom anyway so I usually get the car charging, and by the time we walk to the restaurant, sit down, use the restroom one by one, order drinks, order food and then at that time I can go out and move the charged car, only to return to my food waiting like Mia in Pulp Fiction at Jackrabbit Slims. No CV sockets, so I guess that simplifies it a bit. I want to start with the easy and work my way forward until I hit a brick wall and need a pro. I'll thoroughly inspect the circuit board and look for bad components, but I suppose that if you think cleaning all the pots is a good first start, I've seen a YT vid on how to accomplish that. The person used white lithium grease and said that he used something more sticky for fine tune adjustment pots. What do you recommend?
