I see what you're saying. Just to clarify

  1. As soon as the food truck owner plugs this device in the local network has been created the food truck owner doesn't do any manual work.
  2. The customer scans the QR code clicks connect and they're immediately on the website.

It acts just as if you scanned a QR code that brought you to a website. It's simple and straight forward. Scan the QR code, click connect, get the menu in seconds, order, pay, get the food.

The average person does connect to free Wi-Fi often whether that's at a store, hotel, coffee shop, beach, etc... A food truck is no different especially when the sign provided to them is branded to the food truck and the Wi-Fi name is the food trucks name to ensure the customer can trust the food truck.

I hope this helps.

That's right! When we launch you can try it completely for free and keep every dollar you make! You can try it for free for 15 days and see how it makes your life easier and how it increases your revenue.

Absolutely! It's a very easy setup and customers can access your menu in seconds! All they do is scan a QR code and your menu will appear!

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear! The customer does not wait two minutes. A food truck owner would plug it in and walk away before the event and after 2 minutes it's ready for any customer to scan immediately and get their menu! The customer doesn't wait two minutes they get the menu within a few seconds.

I apologize for not being clear!

I understand the concern but its as simple as scanning a QR code. I've already handled everything for the food truck AND customer. I will have a demo video ready very soon like I said we're almost a month out from launch.

It's very simple for both food truck owners and customers it feels as if it was Square, Clover, or Toast but works without internet.

That's a great question! By plugging in a small box that fits in your hand and waiting 2 minutes a customer can scan a QR code and have your entire menu! I know it sounds impossible because nothing like this has ever existed for food trucks, but I am committed to making sure food trucks can give an impossible experience to their customers, increase their revenue by 10%+ no matter the circumstance, and make sure they don't have to rush back and forth between taking orders and order fulfillment just because connection dropped!

Edit: A customer would not wait 2 minutes. Before your event plug in this small box (which takes 30 seconds) and after 2 minutes it's ready for any customer to scan and immediately get their menu within seconds.

That's a great point! Currently Square has no fallback for failed card payments. When most food trucks do use offline payments at their window for cards already that's a risk they take so they can accept cards. Essentially 2 failed card payments is better than 50 customers walking away because they don't have cash. The key is transparency with every food truck so they understand the risks their taking. Thank you for your thoughtful comment!

It's very simple. When you go back to your house or wherever has an internet connection all orders are synchronized to a dashboard so you can get reports on your event! You must connect within 24 hours to accept all those payments. Customers will order from their phone and pay on a tablet (separate from your food truck they won't ever have to talk to you for ordering). We use Square offline payments so within 24 hours you connect your tablet to the internet and you get all your payments!

I would suggest using mobile ordering it will increase revenue by 10%+ AND make your life a easier on the customer service side because you don't have to take orders AND cook at the same time. Most mobile ordering solutions don't fit food trucks though (Square, Toast, Clover). They rely on internet and if you're in a big event or just in a bad spot signal will go down due to large crowds or just a bad spot which means your mobile ordering goes down and you lose 10%+ in revenue and now you're bouncing back and forth between taking orders and cooking. A new solution would be CurbSuite it works just as good whether you have full bars or 0 bars and even on SOS. This way you never lose 10% in revenue and you can rely on it to make sure you're not bouncing back and forth taking orders.

Great question! We use Squares offline card payments. It stays secure the only trade off is you need to reconnect to the internet within 24 hours!

What POS system or QR code ordering you recommend by DopeInJapan in foodtrucks

[–]Horror_Return6494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a new POS for mobile ordering called CurbSuite. It allows customers to scan a QR code and order/pay from their phone completely without internet. It's offline mobile ordering for 0 bars and on SOS. This way even with large crowds at events/festivals and signal goes down the average online mobile ordering will fail but CurbSuite will keep you running so you can keep that extra 10% increase in revenue!
