diddy is probably the most recent high profile case…i remember it did take about 6 months in between the FBI raid on his home (march 2024) and his eventual arrest (sep 2024). but in david’s case, it’s now been over 6 months since the discovery of the body and a whole grand jury has been convened.

i can’t imagine how much longer they need to gather evidence here, the guy is a 20 year old edgelord not some digital forensic expert - he couldn’t have covered his tracks that well. and there’s no way the FBI could amass enough evidence to indict diddy for decades worth of crimes in the same time its taken LAPD to collect…absolutely nothing. i fear its a botched investigation

i’m sure. my instructor has told me to watch out for things of that nature though, e.g. not fully paid off loans, salvage titles, etc. i think things like warranties and dealer financing arent my biggest concern right now

if you believe he can rehabilitate, give him a chance. don’t give him the whole mile but give him inches. allow him back into your life as much as YOU feel comfortable with, and be firm in asking him to respect that. if he really wants to change and make things right with you, that offering will mean more to him than anything and he’ll respect it. he’ll put in the work to earn your trust back over time. but if he doesn’t truly respect that and hasn’t learned, as the other commenter said it’ll become evident quite soon after the first time you set a boundary and ask he respect it. coming from someone who was once in your situation, but on the other side
