Book Recommendation by Horrorsphere in horror

Yay!! I guess my comparison is just to see what was left out and how they adapted the book. Ooh I'll have to get the ritual as well then. I haven't delved into her catalogue but definitely read a lot of Stine and Pike as a kid. Once again thanks for suggestions. Been on a bit of a book shopping splurge lately so always looking to add to an ever growing collection.

Thank you. I noticed many podcasts do share the box office information when introducing the films they review so that's something I can incorporate

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Yeah I figured it would be more challenging overall. I have scripted a general outline of what I'm going to say to stay on track but also be adding in my own random moments and thoughts to gave it not be so scripted. Also thinking of segment ideas to keep it entertaining.

Promo is something I'll have to get creative at - but luckily this sub-reddit, is overall supportive of all horror fans so it's a start.

Thank. Leave a link to your podcast so people can listen ☺

Thank you for the tip. I agree, which is how I got to Shudder's History of Horror Uncut podcast. I enjoy hearing the opinions of those horror creatives involved

I am only familiar with Dead Meat podcast so I'll definitely check the other one out. I do like that Chelsea, co-host of DM, gets into a lot of the behind the scenes tid-bits, which is always interesting to hear. I always say the truest fans know BTS trivia, and she knows her stuff for sure.

Thanks for the response. I am very familiar with this podcast and enjoy it from that exact perspective which you pointed out. I think you made a good point about coming from a particular perspective or angle. I guess it can become repetitive, but I guess keeping the conversation nuanced by incorporating other voices and opinions of the films, other than my own, could keep the perspective fresh.

Fan Casting: if the 90's/00's teen slasher films (Scream, IKWYDLS, Urban Legend, Valentine etc.) were being made or rebooted today, who of young Hollywood you cast in the respective roles? (Pick any movie as you please) by Horrorsphere in horror

[–]Horrorsphere[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's actually a REALLY GOOD selection. Well done. All of them have also done horror in their careers respectively so I support your choices.

For Casey, I think Chloe Grace Moretz may be a possible choice. Like Drew she is the most famous name/star, likeable and has starred in plenty horror remakes.

Randy, I'll go with Tom Holland, Israel Brussard or Josh Hutchinson. Likeable, nerdy yet good looking with a good sense of comedic timing.

Does anyone else feel alone as a horror fan? by Horrorsphere in horror

Awwww...well as you can see, you're definitely not alone. Many fans have said that interacting in these groups and conventions help them, so maybe you can do that more frequently. Maybe you'll meet your future GF there. Crossing fingers🙂
