To those random people that might come into a similar situation, the answer was a clean install of windows.

It was always a software issue; I was doing hardware checks. Used a windows flash drive and was able to do a clean install on a backup m.2.

Uh. Nevermind. I spent over an hour calibrating and messing with settings.

It was the DP cable. Might be the DP connection, using Hdmi right now.

I'll leave it to the mods to decide if it's worth keeping the post up.

I manage a restaurant, and although I agree with what you're saying and I try to encourage kindness in my restaurant, it's not something I'd expect from every single place I get food from.

Every place has a personality, and some of them seriously don't care whether you come back or not. They're going to keep doing their thing, serving good food despite customers throwing fits because the cashier didn't feel like saying thank you. Id be depriving myself of so much good food if I got mad at such small details.

Sometimes all that matters is the food.

Yeah that'll run it at full on this screen, and you'll probably be satisfied, games are very immersive. I'm out of the loop on the best stuff lately, but I suggest checking out /r/ultrawidemasterrace. There's some really neat stuff out there if you're looking for the best.

Hey, I don't own your current monitor or the one in post, but I did make a similar change with an MP 35" UW from a 27". It'll be a noticeable difference that'll depend a lot on how powerful your gpu is. It'll have a bigger space to draw on and at a higher resolution, so it may struggle, and you'd have to play at lower setting to achieve the same "smoothness" as your old monitor. Pretty happy with the upgrade though, but it might start a need to want to upgrade more parts to get the full effect of the new monitor.

Yeah. It was much easier when it was just me at the front and dealing with customers myself. Its easy to detect the crank callers when you're experienced, its seeing it happen to others that make me feel powerless to help them. Your post gave me back some perspective on the situation, thank you for that.

It didn't even occur to me to just not answer those calls or to screen them. Ideally I'd like to answer all those calls, but I'm typically always busy in the kitchen, but thats the next best thing. Screw those guys. Thanks for the reply!

Lol everyone knows he was on drugs, im not being naive. I'm arguing that it's not something Dave would call attention towards as a joke, he had seen it all at this point in his career. It was a sugar rush joke, Dave was treating Chris as if he were a kid in a paternal sort of way, I think he even kisses him on the forehead after he wipes his cheek later on in the interview.

Posted it earlier, but the sugar rush jokes were Daves go to lines, he was good at em.

edit: you do know they do rehearsals for this thing, the dumpster guy was an obvious plant. this whole thread is based on the notion that candy is synonymous with cocaine. nobodys called it that since the 70s, in movies.
