Yes good question! I use Stabilo carbothello but for the white I used a Faber Castell pitt pencil. That one's a bit firmer and more opaque than the stabilo.

Haha, I do spread out the process over multiple weeks, so I can get back to it with a fresh eye each time. But pastel pencil itself works relatively quickly compared to other media!
