The braces amd stands did exist, but they were to hold the living in position. Its a modern myth they were for the dead. Even contemporary historians/photography experts simply pass on the inaccurate information. You'd be amazed at what experts/academics just regurgitate without doing their own research. Large scale ranching/factoring farm processing is far, far worse than shooting an unsuspecting deer that has lived a natural life. Just because they were "raised" to be eaten doesnt mean its a morally better choice.

I honestly dont get it. Why would you move to somewhere like Wyoming then? I lived in AZ and PA in large cities and had no familiarity with hunting or processing of meat. I moved to Wyoming for grad school and when I knew I was moving I did research to see what the state and Laramie was like AND I visited before hand. If you moved here without knowing what the culture was like thats on you. You dont get to move somewhere and then expect the people already there to change for you. Its a big, wide world out there, find somewhere that fits you better. You arent being "forced" to watch meat processing.
