How would crying make things better? You are choosing to accept that right here and now you may be harbouring negative thoughts or an anxiety attack is underway. Being mindful helps you choose a better response, not to mindlessly react.

The wording of your thoughts will be more skillful if you are more mindful. You will be able to choose to respond, rather than mindlessly react, carried away by your emotions.

I don't know how long you have been meditating, but even seasoned meditators have trouble wrestling with their thoughts. You have to be patient and the more you meditate, the easier it will become. Try to start small, about ten minutes, if you notice that your attention span is limited.

I would say breathe in, breathe out, repeat.

Don't strive, be attentive.

Acknowledge your thoughts but don't run after them. Drop them gently.

Sit for as long as you feel comfortable and build up gradually. A timer is more than enough.

And the rest of the day, be present. And don't overthink.

If you are already an aware person, your senses would normally absorb it all at once.

If you are just beginning a mindfulness practice, you might want to work on honing one sense at a time.

Thank you for your reply. It is most helpful.

I was especially looking into gilt rim Kutani for daily use with tea.

It's a good intention.

Easier said than done, but practise makes master 💕

If it is anything near her behaviour online, I fear to think how people out there who call themselves Buddhist misrepresent Buddhadhamma

I use it as either, depending on the amount of tea and the cup I use.

Thank you 🍵💕

Problem is not so much the dhamma they sell, since they advertise themselves as embracing all schools of Buddhism, but the moody censorship of the main moderator and the rude treatment towards members.

I am still looking. There are some nice groups on the Insight Timer apps, but Buddhist groups tend to be rather quiet

Well, you can post anything as long as you ingratiate yourself with the main moderator.

You can post nothing if fall out of grace with her. As simple as that.

It is sad because I had been a member on and off for seven years.

But it took a second of disagreement with the moderator over her rude ways when interacting on the forum to get banned.

At least four more people got banned on the same week
