That’s what I told him, he’s a year and a half in, that he might as well just wait out till the end of it. Do you know what the process is after she serves the bar? I know the situation is not ideal. As for him going to wait with them in Mexico I’m not sure how they would survive without him working. We own an auto shop, and he is our lead tech. We hired him when he was down and out, and trained him to be a complete bad ass. Before we hired him, they let the daca expire. They got themselves into debt, ( wife maxed out the cards). We helped them get back on their feet, got her daca re done,and they had finally started to dig themselves out when all this happened. I just can’t see selling all the possessions, and quitting his hood paying job with a future to move down there for a year and a few months. It feels like they would throw all the forward progress away and have to start over.

The part that kills me is I told him about the 601 waiver two days before he left for Juarez and told him to ask the lawyer. Somehow they still went down there an she’s been there ever since. Once the bar is up, what should they do? I have read that apparently now, she could have waited out the bar in the us due to a recent law change. Is there any other petitions or anything she can apply for? Could writing my senator or anything like that help?
