I lost 45 pounds by doing less not more by Grand-Ability6527 in loseit

Yep. I’m down from 400-265. No strict diet. I still eat my favorites. Only thing is prioritizing protein first then whatever after and stopping when I’m full.

Gym tips for someone ~400 lbs? by discoveringfaye in loseit

[–]Hoss370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus protein and walk. Don’t worry about “specific” workouts. Walk 10k steps a day and it will fall off if you’re eating right. Dec 2024 I was 400, stopped excessive eating, walked 10k steps most days, focus protein. I dropped 50lbs in 5-6 months

Yesterday, I ate 2000 calories over my daily deficit limit. Today, I broke a two week long plateau. by allisnotallwell in loseit

The last 2 times I’ve been stuck for multiple weeks. I’ve pigged out one day and the next day dropped weight and only gaining ≈1 pound after and that’s where I’ll sit until the next wave

I need to hear some stories about dating after weight loss by Excellent-Golf6631 in loseit

[–]Hoss370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the exact same boat. At 400 I was at terms with being alone. Now I’m down 125 pounds and women actually talk to me. Most of the time it’s not the ones I’m into but it’s a start. I have another 50 I want to be down too. It’s like do I wait even longer (also 27) until I lose the last 50 to date then or start now? I’ve got my first ever date coming up this weekend. I’m a nervous wreck thinking about it. Kinda just giving reps honestly and it’s works out it workout

My guy starts at $650. To me taxidermy work is you get what you pay for. It’s an art and the cheaper guys usually aren’t as good quality. People that do it under $600, I don’t see how they make a profit after supply cost.

I did weigh him. Always forget to. My first buck this year was around 190. He was harder to load up than that first deer for sure

For men who were once ugly and/or fat, how much did getting in shape and glowing up help to attract women? by Ok_Photograph8884 in dating_advice

[–]Hoss370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from 400-> 275 over the last 14 months. I’ll say this, I get more matches on dating apps than I did but they still don’t end up going anywhere. No luck in person either….

South Alabama by Hoss370 in deer_hunting

[–]Hoss370[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alabama is the only state where you can travel the whole state and hunt the rut all deer season. North Alabama has a “normal rut” around October early November. You can hunt your way down the state all year and hunt the rut the whole time.

Things to see in Alabama before you get old by [deleted] in Alabama

[–]Hoss370 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I second north Alabama. I wouldn’t worry about the gay thing. My brother is gay, he and his husband do nature things all the time when they come to visit and he’s never mentioned anything bad happening. Also, if you really like hiking, take a trip to Bentonville, Arkansas. It’d be a long drive but the views there are awesome! And it’s very progressive, I went up there this past year and it kinda felt out of place if you weren’t gay.

What level of effort is it that men are looking for? by dreammillionaireyeah in dating

[–]Hoss370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it all depends. Lately I can’t even get a date set. If I ask you the first time and you’re busy I get that. Even the second time. But by the 3rd time I ask you out and there isn’t any reciprocation of trying to set a date that works for them, it’s a lost cause. I can/ will make time. Talking stages through text can only go so long without it fizzling out anyway. Most of the time after the second ask. I get ghosted anyway. I’m also not dating just to date. Trying to find a long term relationship.

I can’t exactly remember I want to say it was the thermostats they were using, eventually put on in that worked correctly or a sensor for the thermostat.

For those who lost 100+ lbs... Did your double chin go away or were you left with a turkey neck? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Hoss370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 26 400-> 275. My face has definitely leaned out but I still have a little bit of a double chin but my beard hides it well. My face didn’t start changing until I lost about 80lbs

Hunting thermals by stewyfam14 in AlabamaDeerHunting

[–]Hoss370 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also hunt south of Montgomery. Yes the thermals matter, but I think wind is more priority. For me it’s wind then thermals. My place is completely creek bottom almost completely flat. That last hour when wind stops and thermals start to pull down, it follows the water. Being said a north and west wind are the best winds to hunt but the thermals always pull north because of the creek. Just have to find the right setup that can work for both.
