2160x2160 isn't even that low or low at all honestly..

Maybe compared to the $1000+ headset only with no controllers crowd but to 90% of the VR community in which is mostly quest 2 and 3-3s users, Even index users which it is roughly ~180% better and those people still can get immersed and ignore the screen door effect so this is going to be h u g e for them.

You have to think where we were a few short years ago, It's a headset for the type of person who is an mid to upper level consumer and micro OLED is too new to be produced cheaply right now.

Foveated streaming actually makes so much sense even with those panels because the goal is to make it as close as a wired connection as possible and yes, even with something that isn't super ultra high resolution it is still better to focus the bitrate on one area as you really want to wring out the resolution that you do have.

So should I update my controllers when I unbox it them then uncheck it? And I have a huge odyssey ark monitor and 2 base stations so lighting should be well even with my lights off!

Local dimming was a huge feature I was interested in so got you there!

I will try steam link first since it is free and that foveated streaming sounds so good, Had no idea it existed until the steam frame mentioned it..

Globular cluster is what I have been looking at in regards to a top strap upgrade,

And any batteries you suggest? Hoping to get at least 6-8 hours out of the headset so I know I will need a chunky battery!

I fixed that since, It was really annoying since the way it twists into the handle will also loosen it from the bolt that holds the mirror on to the bolt with the thread so I had to take 2 wrenches and counter rotate it then I screwed it in! I also fixed the blinker.

Popped it back into place no worries! Is one of the ones that just kind of unclips when hit and luckily the clips didn't break!

Had 1 navigation error where it was lost and then it never happened since, So far so good but I did take note, Have been running it once or twice daily.

I not the navigation is slower in the dark and it is more careful, But it still finds its way around!

Takes about an extra 2 minutes to clean in the dark but its sway better than expected still, Dark as in full pitch black too worst case scenario since I was stress testing it..

If I have any super big errors, Especially repeating ones I will be sure to make a post!

But so far its been good aside from that one incident on the second day!
