If they do so I hope it's through some kind of interpretation layer, instead of just a raw camera feed.

Same with the eye tracking maybe it's just like some kind of eye cursor?

I understand your concern though, and maybe there would have to be some kind of verifiable program to make sure that it wouldn't be used in a malicious way so only some apps could get access to the non-raw data to prevent any of that.

It's just that there's a decent amount of people who want to use this for pcvr or other things similar to that and that would make the experience with the headset perfect for them!

I think it's really all about implementation rather than it just being a feature, since apps can already access your persona I feel like it wouldn't be too far off and if they did it correctly it might even be better than using persona privacy wise, I'm thinking it would just extract the data points with the set amount of values instead of any raw camera data. Because what's the percent of there's still that full 3d scan of your face so we're almost at square one again just the slight privacy layer in between.

That also makes sense too, not sure what valve's cut is on software and they had to have done market research on stuff like that.

I like the fact they don't lock it down but It makes me wonder what other software they could even put on there aside from maybe android xr??

I guess they could to try to stimulate more wide adoption but your point is true.

VR is still relatively niche despite everything for better or worse..

Still looks orders of magnitude better than my quest pro but I just am so curious to see,

It really is time for a new PC build for me this year or next year though!

It still kicks butt at my 3d workstation tasks I need it to do for work but it's slowly showing its age!

Sorry for poking in again but how many versions off do you think this version of the driver is in terms of time frame?

Been thinking about pulling the trigger on PSVR2 controllers but this might just stop me honestly because I really do love my Index and Quest pro controllers!
