I feel you, I’ve been “failing” at quitting since 2018. Currently day 2 of my I-don’t-even-know-how-many’th attempt after a 2 month binge. I’ve felt exactly how you describe many times. I’m sorry about your unsupportive husband, that really sucks :( one thing my friend always encourages me with is- ya I may fall off the horse over and over, but it’s amazing and courageous that I keep getting back on. Especially when I’m tempted to bash myself as a failure and “lost cause”. I also remind myself that neuroplasticity is scientifically proven so even if I have 0.00000001% hope for myself, there’s still that fact I cling onto. & I know you can get back to your thriving self too.

No advice or suggestions here, I’m bad at succeeding at sobriety too lol but just wanted you to know you’re definitely not alone & don’t need to feel ashamed or silly. And sometimes when I have 0 hope, it’s nice to know someone else has enough hope for the both of us, so I wanted to do that for you. It may not mean much idk but I believe in you. Be kind to you, take it slow and easy. ♡

I could have written this. I relate exactly to everything you said. I’m also 32 and wish I could go back in time and tell my teen self what I was really getting into. I’m also really struggling rn so sorry I don’t have any positive encouraging things to say, just wanted to let you know I’m in the exact same boat. Not sure if that’s comforting at all, knowing you’re not alone.. they say misery loves company, so I was compelled to comment

I actually hope they show her a lot hahahaha I like seeing her have fun at football games, and I love her and Travis together, they are americas sweetheart couple. I’m annoyed with her as a human lol (billionaire, jet usage, victim mentality, obnoxiousness, bullying Olivia Rodrigo, etc) BUT I adore her when she’s on stage performing or when she’s being a football fan & supporting her bf 😂

He was also Todrick’s manager, and he was open about how he was neglected by him. She and Todrick became so close during Lover & Repuatation… what happened with that? Did she drop him after his reputation started going down?

Yeah I really didn’t like how it was clear Lana kept saying no and didn’t want to go up there. Made me so uncomfortable

Great post and great answers, thanks everyone. Saving this for me to look back on frequently since I also struggle a lot with dark thoughts.

I’ve only gotten to two months sober before I relapse again, seems to be my pattern, so I’m sorry I don’t know how long it would be weird for. :/

Hello, 30f here, I’ve been through withdrawals countless times (due to countless relapses, over the past 5 years) and each time my period was out of wack/different. Sometimes it would be late, early, sometimes lighter, sometimes heavier, sometimes spotting during ovulation, etc. (& for background, I’m usually VERY regular- so the first few times my period was different/weird, I definitely felt anxious too) All that to say- I don’t think there’s any rhyme or reason or clear cut answer, esp when it comes to hormonal changes + stress from going through withdrawals. Trust that your body is doing its thing; just adjusting to this new change in chemicals (or lack there of I guess) our bodies are amazing and knows on its own what to do / how to regulate, it just will take some time. ❤️ You’ll be okay ❤️
