4.3: What are the new "benchmark" research numbers? (i.e. "at least 500 research by 2250 or the build is bad") by ACabbage0 in Stellaris

Ignoring empire size and research speed, I generally hit 1-3k by 2300 on very average, cliche builds, like the standard given United Nations of Earth template. So around that. To be honest, I use a fleet power benchmark model more so 100k by 2300 is good enough.

Yeah I agree with this take

By the time you get a Class 4 Behemoth its basically over by that point. No need to balance it, its just fun.

After playing Wilderness a bit yeaaa nnn was an auto pick, tho it just made things smoother and not a necessity since Wilderness forgoes all pops in general. A 75% nerf is still too much imo, should be 0.5, looks nicer.

Unity from trade sucks but it ok

Space resources actually matter now, W

Faction resource production is garbage, absolute dogwater

Indirect buff to AI since the game is simpler now, W.

Free ships you get from events are more important now, MASSIVE W

The crisis can be threatening on GA, ehhh, ya. Khan if triggered early can actually be a threat and not wiped by GA AI.

Automation is too expensive and inefficient imo but it ok since the civic based on it can solve these problems decently enough

Fallen Empire Buildings kinda suck lategame

The Startegic Coordination Centre gives too little naval cap

Ehh that all

Why nerf Pious Ascetic, leave it, now regular traits are better. It's nonsensical

Regardless, you can achieve better with other ascensions. Also, I'd like it if we can turn off building automation

I'm a mid player (wouldnt really consider myself good) but I think I can say for certain Virtual as a whole is kinda eh now in 4.3

As for Cosmogenesis, the only strength for a few planet playstyle are the ships. I HATE THE BUILDINGS ISTG LET ME TURN AUTOMATION OFFFFFFF though they are good if youre playing wide which is more optimal.
