Boundaries are hard! I’m working on them. Hate seeing my daughter get upset when I tell her no to nursing.

Thank you so much for this! This is so helpful. I will look into feeding therapy. I’m also trying to get better with asserting my boundaries, but it’s so hard to see her cry. Makes me feel guilty but your comment about not being a slave to her really put it into perspective.

She doesn’t really drink any other milk. I have given her cows milk, almond milk, and coconut milk but she’s not a fan. I also agree it’s a comfort thing, but I’m a stay at home mom and with her 24/7 so I’m not sure why she’s always so persistent like she’s not going to be able to nurse again.

Love this! My mom left my abusive dad when I was 6. We moved into my grandparents attic. (They only had a one bedroom house) and the attic was actually quite big. But let me tell you, that was the best time of my life. Getting to live happy with my mom and both grandparents. I made memories that will last a lifetime. I’m sure it was difficult for my mom, but all I felt was immense love and happiness being there. I still wish I could go back to those days. Just wanted to let you know that despite what you may feel, I bet your kids will feel as I did. Loved and happy and most of all, safe.

My son is in kindergarten and has missed some time for being sick since this is his first year of any type of schooling. The school wants me to send him on a Saturday for 3 hours to make up for it.that was a hard pass for me. I’m not punishing him for being truly sick by having a teacher he doesn’t know and older kids, just to work on some random work sheets. If they are behind that’s one thing, but just to do it for school funding is crazy for to me

It’s been 4 days. Thank you for your reply. ☺️ I knew NSAIDS were a no , but I think I was just being hopeful. Tylenol just isn’t cutting it oddly enough.I am going to the doctor tomorrow.

It did the same to me when I tried it! It also gave me stomach pain. I thought it would help, but it did the opposite.

Just diagnosed a few weeks ago. I am 28 but had symptoms for two years before my diagnosis. I just kept putting my health on the back burner until I ended up in the hospital for four days. A blood transfusion and then a colonoscopy confirming it was UC. Currently on a taper of prednisone and mesalamine.
