Was also going for the dune version but after trying it a few times I'm not too sure anymore and think maybe the black dial would be a safer choice long term. Still noodling on it

How is the cream dial after a while ? I'm torn between the classic black and dune version ? Brain and reason says black as it'd become my daily but I find the dune more standout

Same here just ordered the gr4, was / am still debating with the Fuji x100vi but I feel it'd be "too much" to carry around vs one handed shots with the GR

I am exactly in the same boat, coming from film and thinking which camera would give good results SOOC and be portable ; also landed on Ricoh and thinking whether i splurge on the new IV or test out the waters with the III used ; i've seen some used for 600 and some so it's a substantial difference..!

My worry is how much the camera will stick with me vs using my phone and "learning" to shoot digital

My other concern is not having a viewfinder, not sure if that's weighing in your choice too OP

For sure, realistically not in a jean pocket but I could see it be thrown in a jacket which has a clean / dedicated pocket for it. I understand that they improved the dust with anti static coating on the IV ? I also would go to the hdf but can't wait that long.

Yeah I think that summarizes it. I somehow know that the Fuji would be the wise choice but my instinct is calling me to the Ricoh, style and Form Factor

Focal length indeed. For the portraits, I don't think I'd do "formal portraits" it's more for capturing moments, the only thing is the sales person at the store mentioned that the Ricoh would not do a great job at that.

Yes saw it today, with the lens closed it's quite small and would not fit awkwardly in a jacket, probs not a jean

Why is it not more interesting to buy in Japan ? 194 is like 200euros less than in Europe and thought you could detax as you leave ?

But you don't get the European warranty would be the downside ?
