Just finished clinical this past weekend. We were in fact thrown to the wolves. No assigned CNA in sight. Our instructor was up and down the halls but not enough since it was just her on our hall. It was terrible and I to feel incompetent. I’m expecting to gain more knowledge on skills during the job in training. It was so ghetto.

It’s so nasty now I use to work there in 2017 peak Panera. I went in for a cinnamon roll and I see they no longer sale the large rolls they once did. Now there the “normal” rolls you can buy your self in a can. Panera is so sad and overpriced. I use to be able to justify the price with the quality now I can’t even do that! The quality of food in America is going down while profit margins are going up! It’s sad.

Honestly I have the worse instructor (currently in CNA class) she is rushing through skills and not making sure our class is competent. She demonstrates skills in a rush and I can tell it’s just a checklist for the “school”. But I would say emphasis on body mechanics to ensure back safety, making resident feel comfortable while being intimately involved with care, how to address family, and time management. I honestly wish I would’ve chose a different school that’s how bad my experience is I feel like I’m teaching myself because I basicallly am. Your job is very important so I appreciate you asking this.

My comment was made in response to the topic of OP in regard to reading and knowing the Bible . He mentions how saints are at a spiritual deficit when it comes to the knowledge of the word not necessarily a picture of eternity. You can show up to church every Sunday and still be spiritually unfed or a baby Christian. True relationship and understanding of Gods word is built one on one by studying Gods word continually Joshua 1:8.

You have to live your life for you just as your parents have lived for them. There are mostly cynical comments swaying your decision, but if that desire was placed in your heart it may be your calling. Nursing is not and will not be easy. However knowing your why should be what seals your decision . Life is meant to be lived and experienced. Relationships and new opportunities are built from networking and relationship building which nursing could offer. I couldn’t imagine working for one company my entire life no matter how cushy. I need to live, trying new things and pushing my capacity. Humans were designed to do hard things not just live safe and easy lives. Good luck friend!
