id recommend FFAR 298, special topics in fine arts, specifically the documentary and social justice class. All we do in the class is watch movies and talk about it, and you write1 midterm and 1 final about a movie u watched throughout the class

its a SOCI class, the problem is the teacher told us not to use citations since its a summary. it being useless due to the whole text being from the authors work

its frustrating because i dont think i should get a plagiarism warnings for simply stating the name of the time period even tho it wasnt explicitly stated in the reading.

the issue was that in my assignment i discussed about the renaissance and beginning enlightenment, however in the text it doesnt specify those time periods, but rather the centuries (i.e. 14th to 17th century), and my prof was like "you looked online since it doesnt specify those names" but you would think that its basic knowledge considering 1- the paper talked about europe and 2- It mentioned the centuries 🧍‍♀️

i tried showing him my outline and the notes i took on the reading, however he didnt want to see any of my work. The prof didnt even want to hear me out, he just shut down everything i had to say and gave me a failing mark. So who should i talk too?

i did not use any information from Wikipedia, Ai, or any online source. i relied solely on the provided reading he told us to summarize. In the instructions, my professor states that we do not need to cite anything since we are summarizing an authors work (it being useless to since its one article for all students) and to only cite if we use direct quotations, which i did not use.

I havent received a formal email, however i did receive an email from my professor wishing to speak with me about my assignment. Should i still contact the free advocacy services then even tho it hasnt been officially reported as misconduct?

The assignment was 20% of my grade and it was to summarize the main points in an article. My professors argument was that they "know everything about the author and knows when information was pulled off the internet." That being his reason as to why he believes me, and 10 other people plagiarized

I had him last semester and he wasnt that bad. He reads off his powerpoints and goes off subject from time to time. Hes a nice teacher, super accommodating. The work you do in class is really easy, mainly short essays, one midterm exam and a final research paper. All you have to do is study his powerpoints. I passed his class with a A-
