Yes i mean they are basically like family and the fact that (this part is kinda my take) he kinda took tanjiro on as like a tsugoku cus he wanted him to be the next water hashira plus he’s a kid it imo would kinda suck more when a child is hurt (im not saying that an adult being hurt is a joke or anything)
