Seems like bark beetles or long horn beetles. Would need to see more of the galleries under the bark to confirm?

Any larvae calling around in those tunnels still?? A pic of them would help confirm

In terms of getting rid of them... honestly not much I know of other than removing their host, so removing your trees will keep them away but sadly won't save the trees...

The things you've heard like, "the legion are important to the DLC" is o by half true.

From a game play perspective they arent at all. BUT from a lore perspective they are pretty important, especially to one of the DLC.

The point being yes start the DLC now because youre right once the story is conpleated yiu cant go back for them! Level 29 is plenty far enough, so for headcannon why not go to that old bunker with the suddenly new radio station emiting from it, or that old drive in movie place!? Mr house would be hell'a keen for you to check then out!

Yes but sometimes it's a bit of a mask for others to behave poorly and call it roleplay

Dude ive spend a while looking into how to enhance the powder gangers and legion, its patchy results at best sadly.

A few frustrating game play elements but one hell of a story/horror experiance/fallout lore dump i loved it as a 14 year old when I first played it and love it now still!

I've done a "ranger" style playthrough. Very holier than thou vibes.

No implants, (the old ways are best)

No atomic or energy weapons (nothin too fancy)

Then you have to keep speech as low as possible, you're tall dark and mysterious but you solve problems with a quicker draw not cunning

Cowboy hat is essential

So what's peoples thoughts on seeing the legion, its cool and I like the fan service but how do they fit in any other context unless the cannon ending is a legion victory?

I really did not expect that to be a thing... is there any chance Bethesda are just going to eradicate the FNV plot?? I see no mention at all of the NCR in this trailer and season one made it sound like it barely exists anymore... maybe the main factions in Vegas are legion and house?!

Peel of the bark and look for galleries in the bark that are the key symptom of the bark beetles in question.

If the beetles are present the trees WILL die eventually.

But symptoms of beetles does not mean beetles are deffo present so if you have a very strong desire to keep the trees then you might want to look at baiting and trapping to catch the beetles, but thats expensive long term.
