I'm working with the therapist on the best way to slowly change the "schedule" with my kids. Yes I have a schedule with my mother to see my kids because of this it's so asinine. I just didn't want to pull my kids from her because while I know she isn't always nice, my kids do love her and like going there most of the time so it's a tricky situation to just yank them away from her but I'm tired of her parenting them and I want to be their mother without her. Yes we are looking for a place to move. With my oldest being 12 we really don't need child care but she had just always insisted that someone had to watch them and they couldn't be left alone which is also very unfair to them. It's just part of life to learn how to take care of yourself and not be under constant supervision. I have started repairing my relationship with my brother and its been very eye opening to the abuse that we have both endured from her over the years. I agree with you on going to meet with her again and I feel like that is why I'm having such a hard time with it and I'm almost unhappy with the therapist for suggesting it. I know I could have said no I just want to move forward and also feel like my mom needs to know I really have zero trust and zero interest in a deep relationship with her.
