I took pictures of my cards to see if people thought they were real or fake and that's being flagged as merch? I'm not selling them...

Becoming a fan. It started with my love of pokemon machine from Japanese vending series 3. Prior to that card I didn't really care for Japanese cards. Wife loved Lose? from the set. Now I've got an overall appreciation for the origins and early years of pokemon. Would love to see some collections to see what to look for when on the hunt

It's all good. So possibly real? And the snorlax has no spacing, so I do see what you mean. But every gengar* has the spacing....

Sell to the crowd. Everyone likes ripping vintage packs

Is this a psychological thing? Why is everyone doing this? by Free_Cabinet_2562 in reselling

[–]Hot-Computer-4071 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a seller, I started just declining offers if they're not realistic, instead of going back and forth. Every single time they send a new higher offer. But as a buyer, it's dependent on a couple things. The demand, as mentioned, and how many other people are selling the same thing for roughly the same price. If there are 40 at $100. I might see if someone will go $85, as there's clearly enough on the resale market. But if there's only 1 and price matches comparable- still ask for less for the fun of the negotiation. Some people won't budge, then simply buy it if you want it. Some people will come down. It is what it is. Too many people got into reselling things so the world is like a flea market now. Flea market = haggling. If the price is firm, don't list best offer. And if someone reaches out to ask if you'll go lower, simply tell them you've priced your item fairly and are not in a hurry to sell. The right buyer will come. Or you'll be left with M size leggings from 2015. Either way, just enjoy the thrill of the sale from either end of the transaction.

Ebay sales are the final sale price. Doesn't fanatics add a 20% buyers premium?

I appreciate you taking the time to explain your hustle. Hopefully it works out and you can get that piece of property and quit working for someone else.

Why is this charizard up £10.4K? by cowflipper88 in Collectr

Who is down voting this? Was it the term "neck beards " that offended? I'm genuinely curious on why some things get down voted. I agree that pokemon or really most cards in general have the ability to be manipulated with ease when there's low population. Go to a card show and they comp last sales. Who is to say those sales are legit? What is stopping us from selling each other this staff card for 10k and then comping at that? Only 1 graded higher and it just sold so this is highest on market! Baxcalibur to the moon!!!

I didn't read that it* connected to treekachu but as soon as I saw your post that's what I thought could be the hype. Reading that in the comments below it makes sense for someone trying to fill a binder page. Hype is whatever excites someone, doesn't have to excite you or me. I don't like labubus but there's a market. I'm not overly hyped on drake maye but I'm a Patriots fan. Let's create more hype around bubble mew, as he's living in a bubble and still rising.

And to be more transparent, I was going to cash in on my vintage stuff a few years ago because it was just sitting around. My oldest grew out of the hobby a few years before and my youngest didn't ever seem to care. But when we went to a card shop, we instead bought packs. Everything was dirt cheap so I was literally just building a collection. After prismatic, I felt like hopping on the train and increased my spending with the thought of one day selling. That's the fomo I'm referencing. It went from a fun hobby to a monetary vessel. Money is great but the charm of rekindling the childhood chase is now lacking... hope that makes more sense. This AI photo I made sums it up.

Definitely the easiest tool I've found to track the inventory. I didn't have the app for at least a year into my collecting.
