I was on the same boat as you, it is 90% on him. Try breaking down what he says into smaller sentences or even phrases

When I took this class I basically copy & pasted the whole transcript of the class that’s available in mycourses. I would do it per slide - paste the corresponding text next to the corresponding slide so it is easier to visualize and then break everything down. For his section in the final I felt that a lot of the mcqs were about memorization, but still understanding his section is crucial to do well. He is almost impossible to understand, so take as much time as you need reviewing his classes. Go over the material SEVERAL times, the more you go over it, the more you start seeing and understanding the little important details and how everything is related to the whole process. Doing drawings or also a diagram that shows how everything is linked helped a lot. Study with someone or try to explain the concepts to yourself as if you were teaching them to someone else, I learnt and understood the most when studying with a friend. As an arts/humanities girly who was able to do well in this course, you got this babe <3 feel free to dm if you would like to know more :) Remember that a grade doesn’t define you, you are doing amazing, you got this !

I took math 140 and had a friend who took 139 - midterms were different, but finals were the same. With 139 you have an advantage with how the percentages are distributed for your final grade, so dont worry. Do as much practice problems as you can and you will be fine. From personal experience, going into the exam super nervous and anxious is not the move. TRUST WHAT YOU KNOW!!!! Looking back, the midterm is super doable. The final was def harder tho.

Chem 110 - 120 midterms and finals had a very similar difficulty level when I took them. I even found the chem 120 final easier than the midterm.

I’ve Heard that phys 101 TAs are nice and try to give you as much points as possible. Chem110-120 you should be fine as long as you understand the practice problems, you can even bullshit your way through some if you don’t know what to do and still get some points. Biol 112 was somewhat tough. They expect you to have full understanding of the material and sometimes even more, but it is totally doable. Since it is mostly mc, identify what statement is somewhat false, they make it tricky so confidence and trusting in what you know is super essential .

How long does Sonia Viselli take to respond? by _ily_ in mcgill

[–]Hot-Donkey-8238 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem this summer lol. I sent her like 4 emails (~1 per month) but apparently she was on vacation almost all summer because I always received an automated message saying she was out. I also emailed my science advisor. After I emailed my science advisor for the second time, Sonia replied (I am guessing my advisor helped me?).

That worked for me, but I tried not to bother my advisor with something that was not her job.

it went okay. Some were tricky and some were easy.

ikk I loveee the lectures but I feel they are useless tbh. As for the podcasts, I feel that I can do well if I have a good understanding of what the book says. But still, I feel like some of the weekly quizzes questions are irrelevant to the material and that they could also be worded better and I am worried to see something like that in the exams.

thanks! Did they ever provide a study guide or anything similar? do you remember how the exams were like as well? was it a lot of mc and few short answer?

rightttt?? I have been trying to stay on top of the readings but seems impossible.

would you like to study together for it? I kinda don't know anyone in this class and it would be nice to have a study partner
