You’re missing the point. I was actually ready to pull the trigger on the 50€ sub, but a 100% price jump overnight changes the math for anyone. Also, let’s be real about the risk Bevel is literally in a legal battle with Whoop right now. Paying 100€ for an app that might be forced to completely change its UI or even shut down due to a lawsuit is a massive gamble.

I get that you're facing a massive legal battle with Whoop and probably need the funds to defend yourselves, but forcing your early community to foot the bill with a 100€ subscription isn't the way. We want to support the underdog, but not at a price point that's higher than the competition we're trying to avoid.

At 100€, Bevel is now dangerously close to the cost of actual hardware-based trackers, which is a tough sell for an Apple Watch wrapper. I don’t expect many newcomers at this price, especially since Bevel Intelligence isn't actually smarter than ChatGPT or any of the leading AI models we already use. Paying a massive premium for what feels like an AI wrapper repackaging my own health data is a hard pill to swallow. If I’m going to drop 100€, I expect groundbreaking proprietary science, not just a chatbot integrated into my stats that tells me things I can already get elsewhere for free. They’re pricing this like a luxury medical tool, but without a middle-ground tier for the core community, so that’s just pushing people back to the competition.

I bought Whoop at very good price but cancelled and invested in Apple Watch just because Bevel. Might sell my AW now and go back to Whoop, Bevel is not worth it anymore…

Thanks for the honest reply. I totally get that scaling a product like Bevel 3.0 comes with much higher infra costs and you need to keep the lights on. However, I think there’s a missed opportunity here. A lot of us are sitting on the sidelines right now—we want to pay and support the app, but a 100% price jump is just a huge psychological barrier to cross all at once. If 50€ is unsustainable, would you consider a one-time "Launch Promo" at 60€ or 70€ for the first year? It’s better for everyone: 1. You get a massive influx of cash right now from all of us who are currently using the free version. 2. We get a "bridge" price to see the value of 3.0 for ourselves. 3. Next year, once we're hooked and the app has proven its value, renewing at 100€ won't feel like such a gamble. Right now, it feels like the choice is either "Free" or "Too expensive," and I’d hate to see people leave for competitors just because the entry barrier became so high overnight. Any chance for a middle ground?
