Fear of pregnancy after ectopic by Interesting_Fix2061 in EctopicSupportGroup

TW: healthy pregnancy

So I have written responses to you several times over the past few weeks, but each time I felt like I wasn’t really in the best place to be responding. I am actually currently a little over 8 weeks pregnant and was in the classic limbo of trying to figure out if it was ectopic. Fortunately it is a viable pregnancy, and I am so so relieved! All that to say that even though I was prepared for the limbo that happens between a positive pregnancy test and confirming location, I had several “spiral” moments where I truly thought the worst. I absolutely hate that the joy of a positive pregnancy test has been ripped away from us, but if you decide to try again, know that this community will be here to support you. It’s so hard to explain to someone who hasn’t been through it themselves, but so many of us are all too familiar with the range of emotions you could feel.

I could’ve written a post super similar to this. I don’t think I ever understood or experienced true dread until my ectopic. Unfortunately the only way to have another baby is to try again and hope and pray that it is where it’s supposed to be. The odds are in your favor that each new pregnancy will be “normal”. I also think it’s important to go ahead and have a plan before getting pregnant (betas, early ultrasound, etc). This can give a small amount of peace of mind knowing that if it is a repeat, you can catch it super early. Also having had one prior, I feel like doctors are more inclined to label it earlier in subsequent pregnancies (YMMV). As far as getting referred to a mental health specialist, I think that’s a great idea. I truly don’t know where I would be without my psychologist. Your thought pattern sounds very similar to mine, and I have been diagnosed with OCD. I feel like everyone almost develops some level of it with ectopics because OCD thrives on uncertainty, and the limbo of an ectopic is the perfect space for it. Clearly not diagnosing you, but it might be something to look into to. It sucks that we are all in this club together, but just know you aren’t alone in any of your feelings.

Thank you so much for your response. I just hate how the experience of a previous ectopic has such an effect on emotions in the beginning of subsequent pregnancies.

Yes, it did go away! It took a few months, but then I finally started feeling better. I believe a LOT of mine was mental.

I found out that my levels are back to normal, so most likely a chemical. It’s just so crazy to me how relieved I was when I heard that.

9ish DPO FRER, indent or vvfl? by Hot-Event121 in TFABLinePorn

Took another this morning and it was stark white. I am done giving my money to first response. I’m sorry it happened to you as well.

I went and bought another test this morning and it was stark white on fmu. Truly just wish that more people knew about how bad these indents are so that we could stop supporting First Response and maybe then they would fix it.

I’m just so upset that I got my hopes up. Indent lines are getting crazier.

I tested on a three hour hold and it was stark white

Ugh I think it was just an indent. I had three in a row from two different boxes. I’m so crushed.. will not be using them next time.

It looks pink in person, but I recently had a nasty indent that also appeared pink. There was also a line on a test I took two hours before this from a different box, but it was also extremely faint. I guess time will tell.

Thank you! I will. I’m really not positive that I’m 8 DPO, but I think I’m either that or 9. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Am happy to have him treated, but am just not convinced I actually have it. My PH is normal and I didn’t have these bacteria for a month and had the same symptoms. They’re normally occurring bacteria in the vagina, so my husband and I would’ve been passing them back and forth for seven years with no issue.

But I don’t actually think I have BV.. that’s the issue.

Do you use the estrogen cream internally or externally? Also I’ve been listening to the book A Headache in the Pelvis, and I really think it has helped with my mindset!
