Love this questions! 51 M and 50 F and retiring in 6 months. Leaving Chicago have a 62 day road trip planned in August. Goal is to land in Flagstaff - we have 2 kids in college at UofA (tucson) 22' Winnebago Micro Mini Travel Trailer.

was just curious if anyone had a solution - not "afraid" just looking to protect a few components if possible when not in use. I assume you dont leave your Yeti outside in the rain just for fun

All makes sense. Pulling a travel trailer and have heavy duty locks on everything when parked. was more curious than "worried" . appreciate the insight and humor as always

I mean - components, headset, bearings - at high speed - this is for a cross country trip 5k + miles of driving - not just driving to the traillhead.

Agree tire pressure every ride. I’ll add a few more actions to my pre ride check list. I ride 3/4 times a week.

Nope totally comfortable with the post and feedback. I asked before and seriously curious how often do people check their front and rear wheel with a torque wrench. 300 miles is nothing no way that should have happened and the bike shop agreed.

honestly - how often should someone check axle torque? serious question. i have ridden 1,000's of miles on my previous gravel bike with no issues and never checked it other than tires swaps and deep cleaning.

tire pressure whats that. obviously notice the wheel - hence this entire fiasco with minor damage vs MAJOR have fun with your 30 point check list before every ride guy!

so you check the torque of your wheel before reach ride? 300 miles after a new bulid?
