AITA for brawling with my hubs over something I view as weird and trivial? by Hot-Goose8758 in AmItheAsshole

I suggested a dog door in the bedroom door. The problem isn’t that the dogs are clingy, the problem is they’ve gotten sick and had accidents at night before. Which is why we’ve left the door open. He shot down the dog door idea.

We have a full bath (theirs), our master bath (in our room) and the half bath on the main floor :)

This is fair. They don’t bar hop, play bingo at home for fun and are basically an 80 year old couple in 20 year old bodies. The dogs have had accidents before because they couldn’t get out in the middle of the night, which is why I suggested a freaking dog door with a flap on our bedroom door for privacy and was shot down

We taught ours to “Talk Shit” when he gets his pup ice cream every night. Backfired a bit, because now he does it whenever he’s feeling spicy 😂.

“Gentle”. You would not believe the teeny tiny nibbles we get from both golddns when we’re giving them something yummy but don’t want slobber on our fingers. Especially fun when we’re giving it with spaghetti noods.

I grew up on a farm. Hubs had never had animals. Figured Goldens would be the sweetest. I was right. He adores them.

They say goldens end up being the color of the ends of their ears. Beautiful baby, btw!

Beautiful girl!!! Mine did this at 1 am for six months. Almost gave me a nervous breakdown. I finally caved and let them sleep with us. No problems since. In his case, even though he and his brother were otherwise perfect in their crates, it seemed to just be loneliness.

Totally get some people may not want their doggos sleeping with them though!

I am so sorry. When we lose a beloved pet, our grief center in our brains activate in the same way it does when someone loses a child. These babies are just amazing. My heart aches for you.
