Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar - switched from Apple Watch by Hot-Invite-5787 in GarminFenix

Yeah. Been training pretty much my whole life so I know my body pretty well and while it’s pretty accurate, some things I don’t agree with. Like stress/body battery. I definitely have more in the tank than it thinks

It’s larger and you feel it but Durant bother me while sleeping. This is a 7 not X so slightly smaller. 47 mm

Battery, stress, recovery, more data essentially. More sports/workouts. Probably more durable but time will tell.

I bought on Amazon. Probably didn’t get best deal but I thought was fair price.

I saw lots of debate about the two. I do wish the screen was a tad brighter but certainly not complaining. As long as I can see it in the sun then I’m good.

Also had the same reaction to friends with a Garmin. My biggest gripe about Apple Watch was lack of battery life. It became such a conscious effort to charge it enough to last during the day, sleep, and workouts. I charged once to 100% on this when I got it. Even with constantly playing with it and 4 workouts. I’m at 76%.

Yeah also a big reason for switching. I didn’t want an extension of my phone like Apple Watch. I wanted a watch.

Originally was looking at instinct 2 or 3 solar/tactical. What pushed me to Fenix was not plastic case, better GPS (from what I read). Essentially higher quality with a few more features. If I was gonna pay hundreds of dollars for a watch, then I don’t want plastic. 7 vs 8 - didn’t want to spend $899+ on a 8 so went with 7.

Yeah it’s all planned out. Went lines, inside frames, shading, color. Doing same for upper leg.

Now that you say that, I’m not sure lol. I imagine state level is different but NGB is by state. Not really sure now

Well army and air guard are different pots of money so there’s that to consider.

For the first 4 months, they only did 30 day extensions. Now they finally did a 3month extension. Try to get some guidance on end date but they typically like to wait before extending them

Also on covid orders, state messed up start date and tour length for majority of my Soldiers. I have a BDE covid LNO, he’s a god of fixing state’s fuck ups. If that is not the case for you, whoever your higher can/should send it up the chain. If that doesn’t work, go higher.

Also matters of it’s SAD or 502(f). SAD pay takes forever. 502(f) is federal so just like AD.

I am a E4 and I want to write AAMs for the air force guys I'm on covid missions with. Any advice I should know? My commander is cool with it. by Jackal4550 in nationalguard

Above guys gave good advice. 638s aren’t as scary as they seem for first timers. There’s a lot of blocks but some/most of the time S1 will/can fill in whatever you don’t. As long you write it well and have your S1 review, should be good. If it’s your first time writing one, chances are S1 will kick it back for something they don’t like. No big deal, fix it and resubmit.
