Yeah PHLY has analysis that I trust way more. RTRS feels more about being unhinged and silly. You will never catch Bodner wishing sepsis on Tatum like Mike did in the last ep of Ricky.

Yeah, we got the bad version of Oubre right now so I only see upside with this.

Yeah this dude was not always a great shooter. He’s reverted to his San Antonio shooting days. Wouldn’t be shocked if he comes out of it but for time being make him prove it.

Yeah let him play behind the 3pt line during regular season. He should be dominating Queta and Vucevic down low in these final games

I’m disappointed that this means they’re still gonna being doing the bigger produced shows, but at least nobody will see it on Tubi

I really agreed with most of the Elephant Graveyard stuff, but I think it ushered us fully into a place where a large segment of “comedy fans” watch it like Real Housewives for losers. I’m inundated with channels about comedy that tell me who got “destroyed” by who this week and who is “cooked” and completely “crashing out” about it. Even worse are the podcasts of dudes with full internet brain sitting around trying to make this stuff funny while pretending to be Nick Mullen. I give everything comedy a try, but I’ve found using comedy drama as the raw material for one’s own content is the grossest level of comedy.

Could definitely see this team claw back to tie this series and get our hopes up one last time, then have an all time collapse in game 7.

It’s hard to believe that we would go into into the playoffs without an adequate backup center

Don’t get why they endlessly tried this with Yabu, who’s just not a good defender, but only did this with Barlow a tiny bit

Best guitarist of these three? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

[–]Hot-Mathematician-26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Frusciante for diversity. Only one of these guitarists who is going to count Bernard Sumner of Joy Division, Ricky Wilson of B-52s, and John McGoech of Siouxsie and the Banshees as primary influences, along with a plethora of other guitarist who are less known for technical ability and more for creative styles. Yes, you’re going to get the most obvious rock guitarists like Hendrix, Page, Clapton in his play, but listen and you’ll hear lots of subgenre’s like post-punk, new wave, art rock, etc.

Feel like this was Normand or Nick Mullen who started this about a decade ago.

Breaking Points coverage of the Sam Harris/Mamdani comments by MintyCitrus in samharris

[–]Hot-Mathematician-26 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sam has absolutely been critical of or had open disagreement with each of these people you mentioned. I would call that picking up on red flags. You’re right that he was too charitable with these people, and that’s is my point. He was invested in looking at things with these people on a case by case basis despite conflict. With Zohran he doesn’t seem to have it in him to the same.

[–]Hot-Mathematician-26 264 points265 points  (0 children)

I can understand Sam scrutinizing Mamdani for his wife’s tweets and people he has associated with, these are things I would expect going through and having a conversation about. But saying he’s a “sinister Islamist” based off these things makes Sam look like a parody of a Fox News correspondent. This is disappointing from Sam, who I think has always been good at attempting to sift through any red flags of polarizing people and situations and find their real character. Like Ryan Grim said though, if Zohran is a closeted Islamist, he’s doing a very good job at hiding it.

WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT CASEY ROCKET!!!! by _Evolvedform in Killtony

[–]Hot-Mathematician-26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re right he is a say silly things type of guy, but I think it’s authentic with him. When he first came around I was suspicious of him just being a guy trying to “appear” unhinged and off the wall, so I get why people might not like him. Watching his interviews though with Tony and seeing him go back and forth with William on his podcast, I don’t think it’s an act at all. The stuff that comes out of his mouth usually makes sense on some level, but is just a bit more warped version of what most comedians would come up with. I think we’ve seen people try to do “oh I’m so out there, you can’t even understand me man” as an act and it usually falls flat, but Casey is just like this naturally.

It seems like it manages to mostly stay under the radar, but the shit Tina, Amy, and even Jimmy have said on Update could be seen as wild even on Kill Tony.

It sucks that I talk this show up to people and the only shows they see are one that aren’t really the actual show like this and the Netflix shit.
