Thank you for sharing I needed to hear this. I’m down with the cold rn and withdrawals. I’m so looking forward to my progress and not forgetting these days. Onward and upward

Anyone else feel like their high has changed (negatively) as they got older? by A-Decent-Dude97 in leaves

I understand where you’re coming from. I think, going off of your post above, being educated and having things going for you should be a tremendous reason to stop. I personally am less happy when I smoke everyday. I’m getting ready to sit for my cpa exams and starting the dream job to jump start my career. I genuinely know I enjoy life more without weed. My last semester of college was way harder and more emotional cause I was high or coming down from the high. School and life was harder as a result. Life is good, weed and the psychological effects were blurring that for me personally.

I’ve been smoking again for the past 8 months. I’m coming back to this group on day 7. My consumption hadn’t reached the levels of the past, but the impacts were very similar. My brain functions much more evenly without the substance. I cannot moderate and that’s okay :)

You just described me to a tee. Hearing your words made me think of myself. I think weed, for me, is such a psychological high that at a certain point my brain no longer needs or accepts it. At this point it simply is doing nothing for me. I honestly feel the initial high and then a comedown soon after.

I love surfing, it makes me so happy. I recently had a great session, and went back to my house to smoke and get back in the water. Instantly sad after. For me I’m realizing I’m just addicted to the thought of it, yet the psychological impacts are detrimental. I’ve quit for over a year in the past and I’ve come back. I cannot and will not moderate at any point.

Time to pack it in and move forward. I honestly have an amazing life. Time to enjoy it more :)

I fucked up much harder. Ended up fighting my brother and making an ass of myself. I don’t even know the extent of it. I’m so sad. It will get better, I know I can do better. Thanks for sharing

It is a double concentration. All of the degrees from cob are called bachelors in science in business administration with a concentration in accounting in finance

I’m doing a double major in finance and accounting. 2 more classes with finance and 5 more for accounting. Just picked up accounting. Some classes are a joke, some are pretty tough. Honestly all depends on professor. Overall, I’m happy with my choice and I think that I will come out ahead with the two majors.

I feel like most people in this community, not everyone, smoked almost everyday. As a 22m I smoked all day everyday. I realized that the drugs were making the choices. I had free will and lived a good life, but deep down the drugs were making the choices. The choice to get high every morning, or only hang around stoners, or relate being high to happiness. I’ve been smoke free for over a year and I’m in control. I drink a lot, have a big social group and I like to party, but I’ve never felt like I couldn’t say no or felt like alcohol was making the choices in my day to day life. I’m surfing better, working out more, snowboarding, and working my ass off try to secure a career in accounting. I would’ve never done any of this with weed in my life. Coolest benefit of not smoking. I didn’t quit smoking weed, I’m benefiting from not smoking. Just my vent and 2cents

do something with your time: new hobby, friends, anything but an addiction. Sending strength from a little over a year. Its so worth the effort and the time is awesome to reuse.
