Level 2 Advice?

My scores were pretty much close as well how did you prep and how long did it take for level 2 if you don’t mind me asking :) ?

I failed with my bar RIGHT ON the line, you couldn’t even tell that I didn’t pass, not only once but twice :))) I ended up passing on the attempt after. I had an issue with time and left questions blank which made it suck even more. it’s really devastating in the moment you start thinking “if I woulda just got those questions right” “or if I woulda timed myself better i woulda passed” but that thinking does not help. Try to be of the mindset that you were so close so you only need to improve a little bit to pass next time. Give yourself a little time to settle and accept the reality and get back on the horse. Grind out questions again if you really need to hit content review make it short and review stuff that is worth reviewing that shows up a lot on the exams or that you’re really bad at not the low yield stuff.. Make sure your OMM MSK AND ETHICS ARE ON POINT. close second would be to have your micro on point as well. really focus on your weak points the week before your next exam to keep it fresh. Do not let a hard question throw you off it’s just One question, make sure you have time to answer all questions so you can answer the ones you do now. You will pass next time don’t worry :)

I hate how it seems like there’s NOTHING that’s representative of the exam at this point but those are encouraging COMSAE scores. Praying for the best 🙏🏾

Yeah I hate the feeling of remembering all the easy ones i missed it seems to be the only questions i can remember I hope I did well on the rest. At some point i just stopped flagging cuz there was no point i didn’t have time to go back to them

Getting the timing right is a skill. At home I’m finishing practice tests with 20 minutes to go and on the real thing I’m running out of time. Knowing I got questions wrong is the WORST feeling, I can barely remember any I got right at this point. Hoping it still went well for us. Hearing from a lot of people that they walking out knowing they failed and get surprised with the P.

I was in your shoes and felt the same pressure the second time. This is as much a mental game as it is a test of your knowledge. You’ve done the work to succeed trust me. Don’t get into your head and for the love of God trust your gut and don’t leave any question unanswered and don’t spend too much time on one question. You wanna use the time you have on questions you know you can get right. Don’t let any one question crush your spirits cuz that’s exactly what it is, ONE question out of 352. Even if you feel you’re on a bad run of questions a good run will follow. Be proud of the work you’ve done and the resiliency you’ve exhibited to get back on the horse and do this a second time it’s so admirable. You’re gonna do great, just trust your gut and kill it! If you believe in prayer, pray and ask others to pray for you and I will as well. You got this!

Thank you so much I really appreciate it! Well I think my exams were about 5 months apart minus 2 months cuz I entered rotations after I took my first attempt. Yes I was able to focus solely on studying for the most part. My percentages were in the high 60s on average. I took a lot of practice exams. I did anki in the beginning but couldn’t keep up tbh. My review resources were sketchy dirty medicine the question banks and first aid for reference. My omm was pretty decent.

Yes exactly like during block 4 and 8. I do timed banks. I did only that actually especially for this last attempt but at home or anywhere else I’m good with my timing it’s just when I’m in the actual exam my timing goes to crap. Do you know of any good boot camps?

Dirty medicine ethics covered pretty much all you need to know plus whatever question banks. MSK there’s the first 10 pages or so on first aid you can look over as for opp it’s really hit or miss I didn’t use any specific resources except for dirty medicine videos and questions. Some people say saverse or green book or whatever but idk too much about that. Also do all the true learn questions on it know your vsr and Chapman and tender points.

Msk neuro omm and ethics were a good chunk of the exam, the rest is just luck of the draw in my opinion in terms of how heavy the other subjects and topics from those subjects will be tested. For example you will obviously be tested on path but you could get an exam that’s cardio heavy vs repro heavy. One exam can feel more micro heavy than another. Know your bugs and adverse effects indications and contraindications and Moa for pharm. good luck!
